Title: First ever star trek ship model - thanks to limeys tutorial
Post by: AdmiralKathryn on April 19, 2009, 05:46:50 PM

I read the tutorial on modelling posted earlier and it gave me the idea to attempt my own ship.

I picked a small fairly simple ship to start off, the Starfleet San Fransisco Air Tram seen in Star Trek TMP and VOyager Non Sequitor, set up the reference pics in max and started modelling.

I have the basic hull completed along with the main windows, I will probably go ahead and finish the engines and doors.

I know its not perfect but for my first attempt I was quite pleased with the result.

The whole thing right now is 470 polys, as I said, simple lol.

Fairly simple but a good start.
