Title: Annoying Crash Issue
Post by: Morgan on April 29, 2009, 08:16:52 PM
I realize this is probably categorized as a solved problem but I haven't been able to find it by searching or by browsing around tech support so if I missed it please don't hesitate to cut my throat and point me in the right direction  :D

Anyways it's nothing major just kinda annoying whenever I try to abort a QB mission and return to the main menu my game crashes back to the Windows desktop. How do I fix?

It's a known issue without a real fix as of yet.

I do believe KM fixes it for the set of mods it has.
It basically boils down to the combination of mods you have installed.
Only one unruley mod can destabilize BC, and we don't entirely know how to "play nice" with BC.

I have a similar issue. Is there a way to pinpoint the mod that's causing it?

Practically everyone has this problem.

If we could pinpoint it, then we would already have done so, and fixed it.
The problem is that it could be any single mod, or any combination of mods.

Try installing these 2, still working on them:

Game Crash Fix (http://bcs-tng.com/forums/index.php?topic=2129.0)

Universal BCS:TNG Mod Patch (http://bcs-tng.com/forums/index.php?topic=2263.0)

Note that these resolve some identified issues with BCS:TNG Mods, which under certain conditions can cause a crash and some are universal for all mods.

But as Mleo said, this is a tough one to trace down. With each similar problem I found that the cause of it was different :(

I'll give it a try thanks for the downloads. I can see how it'd be a b**** to track down getting a console report for this isn't exactly easy lol.
