Something which I haven't dove into in bc modding is bridge modding. Yeah I've done the Stargate bridges, which still need finishing and releasing at some point, but I wanted a go at a ST bridge. So with the permission off Mark I've completely retextured the Intrepid V3.2 bridge. I'll let the pics do the talking.

The lighting a red alert of the floor level lights seems unnatural. The light shining on the floor doesn't fade off slow enough. It's like:

Whereas it should be:
++++++--------
I hope that makes sense. :)

I'm guessing you're talking about the blue bits? If so yeah I no still got bits to fix yet, the LM still needs a little tweaking + various other bits

Just a slight update. I never knew how annoyingly frustrating a MSD is, however many many hours later i've managed to get it right I hope lol
Also fixed the LM on the blue glow hopefully, see what you guys think. Oh and if anyone knows the actual font for MSD's & has it, any chance you could supply it please :D

CTRL-F "Font" and it should give you a zip full of nice fonts to use.

Thanks Barihawk, but they're TNG LCAR fonts.. i'll keep searching.

Right I've found the right font type, so that's been fixed along with a finished MSD :D. I've now begun making the lcars for the consoles around the bridge.

I don't suppose you could make a tutorial on making LCARS, could you? It's very difficult to pull off right and you seem to have quite the knack for it :).

Thanks. Err I could, but it wouldn't be any good, I hate explaining how to make things :P The simple lcars, like the buttons etc aren't that hard at all, a lot easier than ship texturing, that maybe why I've picked up it so easy. The only thing I need to do now is make them look shiny, but not reflective. Good ref pics from Trekcore & the virtual tour of Voyager has definitely helped me on this. Next up will be the Tactical Station, keep tuned ;)

As Promised, here's the Tactical Station & I had chance to do the Operations Station as well. All that needs doing on them is making something in the middle of them so they're not black, but I'm searching through screencaps to see what was used the most.
Animated LCARS?

If possible yeah I will incorporate them in along with changing them to red on red alert, I'll just have a chat with Mleo see if animation is possible.

Right had chance to do the Mission Ops I + II stations along with some tweaks to the MSD.
I've been diving into the scripts looking about animations... On that front I'm not too sure yet, however I have altered the script so then each of the lcars change when on red alert like it appears on the show :D Think the bridge dome & a few other bits go a light blue so that will be done eventually :P Got to finish the green alert lcars yet :P

Looks great so far but I have a question regarding the LCARS: will you be doing versions at red alert status as well? I think it'd be cool to have them change when you go to red alert (since the lcars on the Intrepid bridge aren't animated it can be done very easily).

Just a quick update on the Tactical, Ops & centre console. I've finished the centre bits on both Tac & Ops & quickly made some LCARS for the console behind the captains chair. Next up will be the Science stations.

The way it is now is how it was in the show ;)
Right I've had time to do the science station & Engineering II along with alterations for red alert. Both tactical & ops stations now have red alert features, still have to do the other terminals. However, the roof & lighting has also been altered so that it looks like it did in the show.

im not entirely certain, but i dont think any of the LCARS can be animated on this bridge?
if im not mistaken, only the helm LCARS were designed for animation?

Unfortunately making the LCARS animated would mean the red alert ones wouldn't work. But it's your call it won't stop me from checking it out!

Console animation is overrated anyways. It's way too noticeable on most bridges (as well as being very fast). I personally copy all my panels into the same image and then only animate a few buttons, the occasional display, etc. It should be a subtle effect, not something that should give your crew seizures.

Right I've looked into it & I'm just going to leave the animations... More trouble than it's worth.
I'll eventually get round to the helm LCARS, just been busy this week.

wonderful work on the textures, I think I will like this much more than the original one.

Right I've had time to do abit on the LCARS again.
The only lcars which need finishing off now are the fwd navigational scan on the right hand side of the helmsman, & the science I + II & engineering I + II stations red alert versions which shouldn't take that long really then that's it really I think. :D

i am certain when i redid the intrepid bridge the only animations i put in were on the helm. retexture is looking good tho mate!

Right all Red alert LCARS except for one which I missed.... the one next to the command chairs.... are all done. So here's the results ;)
Next up is the forward nav scan & the green & red alert armchair LCARS versions.

Ok so everything is now complete for the Canon Voyager Bridge Season 1-2
All brand new textures,
Updated Lightmaps,
Normal LCARS,
Red Alert LCARS.
All that's to do is pack it up and send it to BCF if everyone's in agreement :D
