Hi Guys.
Just finished model for a Version 4 of the Defiant Bridge.
At the moment its the main version of the bridge seen in the series, however i intend to make the Version when we first see the Defiant, The Holo-Com Version and also the renamed Sou Paulo from the series finale.
Any way enough talk, Pics attached.

I had no idea there was a fourth version in the works! Awesome!
+krama
-
O_o
and i add to the krama lol
-
I am a total supporter of this idea :P. The Sao Paulo version would make a much better BoP bridge than the one right now, with the extra stations back there.

"I hate the carpet." :P
Wow, that is amazing looking Sean, we needed a new Defiant bridge.
-
Very cool.
I wish that the Defiant's bridge in the game "DS9: The Fallen" was made like this.
-
The LCARS on the helm look 'wobbly' but it is otherwise a great surprise.

yea i noticed that too. gonna need a good hour or so to sort it coz its being a real pain in the ***
-
Yeah, I know what you mean.
Had the same problem on my Omega bridge >.<
Cookie +1 btw. :D

I was just thinking a moment ago while on the defiant bridge "Someone needs to do a V4 and fix the funky texture on the Helm light" lol.
When you mean "the first time we see the defiant" you mean where there was no MSD, and the Plaque was there instead?
-
Will the textures be more in line with the other recent 3rd Era bridges (like the FC Excelsior) with "solid" textures? Or will they be like V3 and have semi-transparent textures on the walls? Because those kill me :P
-
hey guys!
Thanks for the kind comments. Fixed the helm texture as best as can be. Pic below

Not sure what you mean there, but will have animated LM and the walls will not be glowing red during red alert like existing versions.

a new version will finally work with my BC. the last Defiant bridge i grabbed didn't work (seems some bits were missing or something).

check your textures, if your running on medium copy the high textures into the medium folder
-
i keep it on high. i've got a good comp for a bare bones. I'll remember that, though.
-
is it peices of the actual model thats missing or just the textures?
if its the textures, try redownloading the mod and reinstalling.

The Defiant setup sorta reminds me of the K'T'inga bridge from TMP, for some reason...

Exactly what I am going to do for the Sao Paulo version. Redemption II was on just last night, actually.
-
Finished Sou Paulo Version, lighting is not set up correctly but just wanted to show the work on textures and model for this varient
-
Very nice, I'm quite pleased to see the captain's chair now has a back. :P
-
it would be cool for the sao paulo if we could whip up a new animation for the extra crew, where he/she would walk through the door onto the bridge, and walk over to the station behind the captains chair, and stand there using that console...
-
all animations are having to be remade as this pack is a complete rebuild from the orignal

Indeed, lol.
-
Excellent work on the Sao Paulo.
-
Oh yes, that is certainly going to make a good Vorcha bridge :).
-
Hmm...can we have an NPC who walks onto the bridge now and then, looks down, and then says, "I hate the carpet"? :P
Seriously though, this looks great. I too am pleased that the Captain's chair has a back, though the original didn't need one since it was made before WalkFX was implemented into the bridge system.
-
finished the version we first see from DS9 Season 3 The Search. again lighting needs some work
-
awesome!! :D
-
indeed, freaking awesome!!
-
Sweet.
-
heres the holocom
-
Nice. I love the Defiant's bridge. :D
-
ya i am really thrilled for these bridges :D
-
Thats awsome work mate. love it.
-
whily it looks awesome, i have never figured out why they would install such senseless devices on the bridge like the holocom -.- and that on a battleship 0.o
-
dayyyyyyym
thats sweet :D

Plot Device. :arms: It was a way for them to make the ship's damage seem horrendous, while giving more to see than just Sisco talking to the other captain by radio. Personally, I think properly garbled radio communications would have done a far better job.
Looking great. :)

It's a Heavy Escort. Not a battleship. Closest equivalent to a battleship would be the Sovereign Class :P
-
They look fantastic! Finally, the Defiant bridge done justice.
One minor thing, though, the light panels on the buttresses all around the bridge, like on the walls dividing each station, were, to the best of my knowledge, flush with the butress *checks... They were*, not sticking out as you have them. It's one of the issues I had with the old model, I felt it made it cartoonish looking. Now it's the only nit I can pick with this bridge! Well done!
-
verbal update, Sao Paulo bridge is fully LMed and ported to MAX 3. Just need to work on aminations and scripting. cant say im used to this part lol. Where's Mark when i need him :P
-
Best of luck on the scripting. I love the updates the Defiant was due for one and these definitely deliver.
-
i can help with scripting - animations tho, not familiar with that realm...
lemme know if i can possibly assist in any way :)
