-
				needs to be alot darker

-
just don't try and match The Brown? exacly.  UPS copyrighted it!

-
				The windows shouldn't be brown

				The windows shouldn't be brown

well they are brown tinted lol
-
You should really ask his permission prior to posting pictures of the modification.

-
indeed - please get Wiley's permission confirmed before continuing with this thread...
i wont lock it for the time being, but until Wiley gives the go-ahead, this thread should be on hold...

 thx

I agree with Kirk that the windows shouldn't be brown, but it is not ingame yet- who knows maybe light brown will look good for the windows. The overall color should be browner. Right now, it just looks like an easy re-coloring that anyone could do.

Are you going to add your own twist to it, maybe some weathering or differently textured objects? I'm not totally sold on this retexture.

hi BIG SORRY  i didnt wont to upset any one. i posted it here to get people views on it and if i didnt get permision i wouldnt post it on bc filefront. these are the 1st pictures of the ship so the next one will be better.

Nice concept. Love to see The Enterprise Project designs in-game.

Cinqnic, I'd suggest, if you're using something like Photoshop or GIMP. Start with taking screen caps of the UPS version that's on http://www.startrekmovie.com/modelgallery/ After that, copy the original Wiley's texture into a new file as the background image. Next, make a new layer and color the whole thing the same brown as TEP version (do that buy just using eyedropper), then put that layer at about 50% and erase where the windows are, once that's one, bring it back up to about 90%. Then make a new layer of the background; again, erase the window and smear out where any writing or hull paint is, then desaturate that layer. Then increase the contrast of it so that the main hull looks practically white and the hull detailing looks practically black. Then drop that layer down to about 20-40%.
^That should make it look a lot more like it's a stand alone thing as apposed to a simple recoloring.

Also, giving some time, I might just do the WWII styled ENT repaint from The Enterprise Project, with a slightly more interesting deflector (old school radar styling) and bussards (jet turbine intake).

you guys never looked through the piles of ships at Filefront, have you?  there's allready both UPS and Fedex painted ships. Usually, they're Excelsiors.

JhonnyMuffinTop: glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking that, and vice versa for that matter. Wet navy ships in Starfleet livery, firing Phasers, plasma shots and Torpedo shots from all the real implacements...Prop and Jet aircraft with converted sublight and warp engines, firing everything from their regular gonports, etc...

well here is the new picture still working on it though

-
suh-WEET  I'd say your best bet is just release it as a skin for the ship in question.

-
				.......  :wtf

-
HERES the cargo bays they needed extra room so they used the sacuer area

-
@Cyanide:  simply release the TGA's that make up the skin of the ship, rather than go through all the trouble of trying to make up a hardpoint.

-
That retexture is looking better. I do not think there was any yellow/gold on the neck or pylons.
