Recently found my old copy of BC in my closet, so I thought I'd give it a try. I've just finished installing it and applied Patch 1.1. Then I installed KM1, now when I try to run it i get the BSOD with the KM cursor. My console report looks like this: (see attached file)
Any help would be appreciated!

Could you attach your FoundationConfig.py ?
-
Hm, strange, there wasn't one. At least not in the place specified by the console report. Tried to create an empty one, but that didn't help... Though my Console report seem to have changed...
-
Try this one.
-
Copied it to the folder specified by the console report. No change I'm afraid...
Thanks anyway!
-
Delete anything inside the brackets so that the text looks like this:
lActiveMutators = []
Also look for FoundationConfig.pyc and delete it.
-
Deleted the text, no change. I did a search for "FoundationConfig.pyc" and didn't find anything at all...
[Edit]Also, the content of the console report seems to change when I turn CrossFire on or off. With CrossFire Off it looks like the one I first posted. And when I turn it On it looks like the second one...
Probably not very relevant, but anyway...

hmm, uninstall again, and this time, before you install KM (but after the patch) run BCUT and install the latest foundation build, then run BC to the main menu once, then install KM.
-
And try downloading KM again, when the download was corrupted who knows what else doesn't work properly

I've reinstalled BC, applied the patch, run BCUT and installed foundation. However, the game won't start. All I get is a black screen, no cursor, nothing. Should I go ahead and install KM anyway (new download btw) and hope for the best?

Did you delete the entire BC folder before reinstalling?

Did you delete the entire BC folder before reinstalling?
Yep, every file. Ran BC's uninstallation and then rebooted to failsafe-mode and deleted the remaining "Bridge Commander"-folder.

Do you have Windows Vista?
-
BCUT includes a seperate NanoFx don't know what fix. That also causes BSods if you don't have the last NanoFX already istalled
Maybe you did install this also, anyway a Console report would still be helpfull

AFAIK I only installed the Foundation, nothing else, unless it installs it by it self...
Report, done and done!

So, the problem could be solved by something as simple as installing the game in another location than "Program Files"?

Yes.

Yes.
Third reinstall today :roll
I'll report back soon...

Ah, works like a charm :)
Thanks for all the help! Problem solved!
