Very nice, but there's an error in custom/ships/Constellation_TOS.py that causes a BSOD:
abbrev = 'Constellation_TOS'
iconName = 'Constellation_TOS'
longName = 'Constellation TOS'
shipFile = 'Constellation_TOS'
menuGroup = 'Fed Ships'
playerMenuGroup = 'Fed Ships'
species = App.SPECIES_GALAXY
Foundation.ShipDef.Constellation_TOS = Foundation.FedShipDef(abbrev, species, { 'name': longName, 'iconName': iconName, 'shipFile': shipFile, 'SubMenu': SubMenu })
You forgot to add a
SubMenu = "something"
under playermenugroup. Apart from that, good ship :)

That, or you could just make your own plugin, placing the ship anywhere you want in the BC ship menus. :D

I love this ship by the way. Theres just 'something' about it.
The only problem is, it doesn't damage very well. As in, parts just vanish when they take damage, kinda like what happens when you hit the neck of Andurils Constitution class, where the saucer section just vanishes but the rest of the ship is fine. Same effect as on this TOS Constellation.

Wish I knew how to fix this. Happens on some of the Excellcior models too. I noticed it on the bottom nacelles.

for some odd reason, phasers don't have sounds in this.. does this require Elminsters common weapons pack?
edit: yup, ECWP seemed to do the trick. I recommend adding that to the readme. and the ship is just fine.. not quite a match for D7-pack's D7's, but it's pretty even with D5 and D6. the alpha strike is impressive for a TOS era ship :D then again, it's a prelude to TMP Constellation, so.. :evil

it wasn't too good match for Klingon D-packs D7.. then I installed the TOS mod pack which gave them (D7's) alternate HP's and now they're somewhat even.. but, against the KM KTinga.. well, let's just say that it wasn't pretty sight. :P

The KM K'tinga I think is set at TNG levels.

and even then it's an overkill when you turn the difficulty up. that thing is berserk I tell you..

And I ask again, what planet are you on and what is it you are smoking?? I managed to smoke 3 zz tmp ktingas with no damage whatsoever!
Although I must admit I don't use the km ktinga with it being an absolutely ancient model and all..
And it should make a mess of a TOS constellation!!

could be difference in used tactics too.. as soon as the K'Tinga cloaked, I recharged shields/repaired hull/weapons.. I guess that i've been spoiled by stronger TMP/TNG/PDW-era ships.. oh, and some lovely kitbashes.
