Title: Sluggish with lots of crashes in Vista 64

Hey guys, just dropped Bridge Commander back onto my system, installed KM 1.0 and Galaxy Charts and tried to play.  What I found was disappointing.

Crashes constantly, most specifically when a ship in a battle takes significant damage, and sluggish performance with fewer than eight ships.  Is this something to do with all the mods, an issue with Vista 64, or something in regards to video drivers?  When I upgrade to Windows 7 will I have the same problem?


Specs:

Intel Quad Core Q6600
EVGA 122-CK-NF68 Main Board
4GB DDR 2 Ram
SLI 8800 GTX

huh you shouldn't have any issues at all really... that's a good setup...
though just curious where did you install BC?? inside or outside the program files folder??
also have you deleted the vox files??

I installed it inside the program files folder, and I used the KM clean program to delete the vox files.

well, there's your problem, you need to install BC in C/:Games if you are running vista.

And I am with Vista 64 and I had very problems with the game. Errors like:
Crashes like when the ships hull takes damage the game crashes and after 1 week the game is running like its just reinstalled.

I run vista 64 and I haven't had any issues aside from the common bugs in BC.
