I've never been really happy with the slim pickings when it comes to small craft in BC. Recently I started watching the BSG reboot again, and it gave me a few ideas for single crew or two-man fighters, launched from a significantly larger ship, but with rudimentary warp systems just in case. Please keep in mind this is just a test I threw together to get the basic feel, though. Once I'm happy with that I'll get to work on the real baby!
For now though, I thought it'd be a good idea to see what the public thinks of it. Would you stock a few of these in your shuttlebay? What would you change?
Statistics-wise, I figure something like... Dominion War era, max speed Warp 3? Any thoughts?

very nice. I wouldn't use cylinderical warp engines for a Dom-war-era ship. Very viper-esque.
Let's see some more

Nice. I like the idea of a limited speed. Limits its range but makes in a good system patrol ship or for patrolling the local space around a starship or base.
I think I would definitely refine those wings and try to ingrate the nacelles more effectively into the overall design. Would also push the cockpit forward imo.

Yah, I only used primitives because aside from the shape being a clear giveaway of nacelles, it was the easiest thing to slap on and move around. :funny I guarantee I'll be doing my best to give it a Dominion War era feel.

I've already been playing some more with it, and came up with a roll-bar like the Miranda. Also allows to have a sort of modular system, so ships can fit them for bombing runs, or to have a proverbial fly on the wall of a system just out of sensor range. Added little vent things just behind the cockpit, because they always look cool. :funny
Anyway, here's what the changes I've made look like so far. I'm thinking the "Wings"/Main Hull will have a more angled swoop outwards, to give a little more of an aggressive look. Personally, looking at it now I feel it would be better suited to a pilot/gunner crew. Feels less flimsy, too.

i like where your going with this. A wile back i started fooling around with this idae as well and worked on a basic shape kind of like this. Diffrence is i was building for a crew of 2 or 3. I'm looking forward for whats next.

Nice! I have always wanted to come up with a Trek fighter design, but all my designs look either too Star-Wars-ish or too close to the Valkyrie from Star Trek Invasion. You can haz cookie.

Nothing wrong with the Valkyrie Toa. And certainly nothing wrong with this ship either.

I would go for more of a blended delta wing shape, kinda like an F-22 or the Viper mk VII

Looks Alright, I would but some Sov-like naceles intergrated into the wings and thin the wings out a bit. also, you might want to have it fire under cloak. a small, powerful ship that could fire under cloak could be very deadly, especially in numbers.
