Title: Making carrier files
Post by: Billz on June 22, 2010, 08:05:23 PM
Basically, I would like to adjust WC's TOS Enterprise so that it can launch shuttles. I go over the tool to do this in BCUT which at first glance, seems pretty simple to use.

Until it tells me that I need to add a shuttle bay property to a hardpoint before I can do this. Everytime I try to load any HP with a ship model in the MPE though, the MPE crashes.

What am I doing wrong? Out of curiosity, I tried loading ship definition scripts instead of HPs in one instance, and MPE still crashed so obviously I am being a complete n00b somewhere.

did you take the py's out of the mpe folder? are you using it straight out of the zip?

The ship has been extarcted to my desktop. I am using the PYs out of that folder.

an object emitter property has to be added to the hardpoint.  i've never had a problem with ships crashing MPE out before you could do anything, though.  mabey it's cause I'm still using XP.  oh, don't forget to add the included registry file for the MPE., if you haven't.

I can open the hardpoint without problem. Anyway the ship already has the necessary shuttle bay properties.
