Title: Startrek TAS (new style)
Post by: MarkyD on June 30, 2010, 03:34:15 PM
So after seeing a thread on SCI-FI meshes on toon looking ent ships it got me thinking...

so I have an idea for the story, infact im giving my brother the ideas and he will write and script it

as he is far more trek savvy than I, but i reckon I can pull an animated trek comic together so thats the idea..

for now I am building the props whilst my bro writes episode one.. I have given him the start and we both smashed out

ideas over the weekend at my fiancees BBQ

anyhoot...

Loads to follow...  its gonna be a fun project

Cool idea and good luck  :)   I've been wondering for a while why, given advances in computing power and graphics software, more fans hadn't made cgi fanfilms.

I'd love to see a Youtube-based "Star Trek: TAS" set around the end of "Nemesis". Or, if you're going to set it in the JJVERSE, i'd prefer the newer designs of shuttles with the nacelles mounted on top of the passenger compartment.

Oh . . . so . . . sweet. :eek

I love the look of "cartoon" 3D.  It seems so much nicer than trying to make things look like real life using 3D modeling software if you aren't a professional.

Just one problem:

Those people have no skin! :p

Looks cool! Good luck with it.
