Title: Dual-weapon barrels

I'm not exactly a scripting genius.....

......but I had an interesting thought.

In the Babylon 5 universe the Omega class destroyer could both fire plasma bolts at a fast rate for short range engagements and heavy particle beams for long term engagements out of its two forward cylindrical cannons.

Is a system like that possible for BC?

You can do that by adding a pulse and a beam weapon to the same spot. Not long ago there was also a thread about alternately disabling pulse and beam weapon.

Is it possible to:

A: Make it look like they are firing out of the same barrel

B: Make it sequential, so that they don't both fire at the same time?

At the start of QB on the AI ships , all weapons are fully charged, on the Players ship , when Red Alert, is activated ALL weapons charge,but I think can be done [never tried] a phaser and a pulse\disruptor can have same barrel, if they are placed even 0.001 offset from each other, you'd just have to try, they do have to be a phaser and a pulse\disruptor, because the firring controls are different.

If you mean the pulses, you might want to try this mod (http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Single_Pulse_Fire_Toggle;47209). Otherwise, you could always use MVAM for the switch. IIRC you can use MVAM without having to sit through the cutscene (Can someone confirm this for me by any chance?)
