I had an idea that might help a lot of people when it comes to hardpointing ships. This might be similar to an Excel worksheet, and it lists the power settings of each canon/specific fan-favorite BC ship in each era. For people who are making new ships for a specific era, they will know how powerful their ship will be.
Does this sound like a good idea?

Yes, since I have no idea how strong I want my Surpasser to be. :D
-
wasn't this attempted a few times in the past lol
also I was trying to make something like this for the new KM 1.1 HPs... it's floating about somewhere... I gave it to a few people.

Do you have the file?
-
yeah but it isn't anything fancy... just a large notepad doc lol

What I was intending to do is a more organized version.

If you're thinking the same thing I am then I have one I made some time ago. I can't find the thread so I'll post it here if you'd like to use or reference it in making yours. Best of luck on it :)

I think Zambie Zan made up an html some time back , not to sure about the author tho.
pretty good as I recall [but ships settings abit strong IMO]. I'll check later see if I can find.

actually, that was Durandal; i have that spreadsheet at home, ill upload it later...
it was for hardpoints and what he felt the best settings were and thus balanced the ships accordingly...

I'd suggest something else, as well. weapon bit and shield colour settings and sound links. one of the worst things I've run into is inconsistant or non-existant sound files. fed sheilds vary a lot (DJ, for example, tends to use white sheilds), and there's multiple colors on various bases when I don't feel like playing with GC (stock bases with KM, for some reason, use several different colors). I'm also thinking of TOS era's Blue Phasers, and trying to get them in the right schemes while repairing them.

forgot all about this lol
anyway, this is what Durandal had put up at BCU a long time ago (html file)...
might be different by today's standards...
