Title: It wouldn't be a BC christmas without me starting a tech help thread :)
Post by: Billz on December 25, 2010, 05:08:53 PM
This time, (and admittedly, I haven't posted in this section for a while so i'm improving, lol), I am having an issue with Baz1701's TWOK bridge.

The bridge itself is gorgeous. The problem, is that my game crashes to the desktop evertime I siwtch my alert status.
Knowing my luck, it's probably just me that is getting this issue. Funny thing is, that the Console Log has no signs of any problems in it, so this issue is a real head scratcher.

Anyone else getting this?

One crazy possibility...  it's a gorgeous bridge, but very processor-intensive. Very large textures, large NIF file and animations, and three alert states.  I found it a big laggy on mine.  Try resizing all textures to smaller sizes.  It might make a difference.

I don't have a program that can resize TGA format image files.

IrfanView is a great free program that can batch convert majority of files (incl. tga) to same or other.

watch which version.  Irfan deletes Alpha Channels when I have to resize ships.
