Apologies if this already known/seen but been watching TNG re-runs and came across this in ep, which I thought was quite funny re: our Baz. :)
Curious whether anyone else come across any BCC/trek coincidences? I'm assuming Baz took his BCCname from somewhere else rather than from shuttle. My BCCname from other source, but is also coincidentally the name of Klingon boss in EF2. Spooky or what :idk:
PS: think shuttle would make a good TNG-era travelpod replacement.
-
I'd wager it's a play on his own name personally. :P
But yeah, that's immensely spooky, both accounts! :funny
EDIT: Damn, the Time Squared vortex always mesmerizes me.
-
both my former and actual nicknames - Dr McCoy/Bones - were obviously based upon my fav TMP character ;P
-
Wish i could say my handle came from there but the truth is my name is Barry for my sins. :D
-
My name came from my first online nickname, for my first online game of Halo, back in 2003 or so. The idea was that I am really good at sniping, so I thought first of Earshot, but liked the look of FarShot. And thus... a legend was born. :funny
If anyone wants to take me on in Halo though, prepare to get your face pounded. :P
-
to be honest, my name in this community is taken from the name I used to use in BC multiplayer, the default name was ACE, so ACES_HIGH seemed like a natural extension at the time.
-
Mine is from a ship that I created back in High School, the U.S.S. Eclipse, NCC-74569. I had even made an entirely new class called the Continental....I really need to go through and revamp that ship LOL Quite possibly be my next ship once i get a bit more experience in with the Titan :)
-
FarShot is also the name of the alien Sniper weapon from Perfect Dark on the N64. X-ray Vision and can shoot through walls lol :P
-
For some reason, I was "ooh, Darth Maul, twin-blade lightsaber" when I first saw Episode I, when I was about twelve years old (alas, at the time I had not heard of Exar Kun, who had his twin-blade lightsaber about four thousand years before the events of Episode I), so I came up with "Joshmaul". There have been a few prefixes to go with it - "Darth" in the beginning, of course, but these days I commonly use "Emperor"...something to keep in mind in the event I ever became ruler of my own empire. (Which, in a fictional sense at least, has happened many times. Emperor Joshmaul the First, heh...) Occasionally I've used "Warmaster" or "Admiral" to go with it.
-
Dalek. Simples. :P
-
Vedic, after the Bajoran Vedics, i just liked the name,
-
I used to go by Gracer back in the BCU days which was just a typo of my surname Grace, Darran Charles (hence my current name)
-
for those of you who might know me in other communities, I also go by Captain Hunt, or some variation thereof, that's the main character of my fanfic. And no my real name is not Jonathan Hunt. :roll
-
ummm ya, im pretty sure my bc name isnt tough to figure out lol
when i first joined to bcu back in early 2003, i couldnt be bothered to be clever lol :P
and then then i forced everyone to know my cat's name :)

Of the Reydovan Empire, aboard the command ship Discovery, teaming up with Picard to give Challon's Pterawing a pasting :p
Ah, the glory days :D

I actually have several different names on several different sites. Mine here, Toa Kaita, and another one I use, Destral, both come from Bionicle, and another name, Thedarkarcon4(7) comes from StarCraft's Protoss Dark Archon.
-
I give you all one guess about were i got my name from.

Back in 2003 there were two albums that I could not stop listening to, Linkin Park's Meteora and Evanescence's Fallen. I had yet to really establish an online identity at that time, and when I signed up for AOL back in the day I needed a screen name. The albums were sitting on my desk and the combined name sounded good, so I went with it.
And so forth I have been known throughout the interwebs as MeteoraFallen!
The other screen name that I use now and then that I actually came up with on my own is TenshiOfTheLost, Tenshi is my name (Angel) in Japanese so it translates to "Angel of the lost" And I use that name mostly for my PSN account.

Aways used my handle on anything Trek related. D is my nickname that the family gave me, short for Dennis.
One of my buddies was watching me check my email and noticed it and said "Isn't that the name of that seafood place?"
I had never thought of it actually, made me laugh, so when I made a banner I poked fun of it. :D
Yea Ewoks are too cute for helping defeat the Empire.
When Lucas remastered Jedi, he should have at least given them fangs.

Cyanide has been my handle/nickname since middle school, the first person to call me that was at a concert where i went through 4 packs of newport cigarettes inside of 2 hours... i used to be a chain-chain-chain-chainsmoker
it got changed to CyAn1d3 because... well i can.
-
DJ Curtis was a radio name my dad suggested to me about a decade ago when I was strongly considering a career in radio broadcasting. My first initial is D, and my middle names are Jonathan and Curtis. Plus my mom has been calling me DJ for about as long as I can remember.
-
DJ you have one long name...hate to break it to you :P
-
Meh, most people just call me Dave.
-
hehe :)
-
you know, i got my name on here from watcging an episode of TNG that had solar FLARE's in it and then looking at the SPIRE of a church while in the car, and right next to that church was a fish a chip shop called McCoy's Plaice. but yeah, thats where my BCC name comes from, im usually called Tom away from BCC....
-
Meh, most people just call me Dave.
Good morning Dave...

n3cr03d!
I took my handle from a counter strike bot mod I used a loooong time ago. Maybe 2000 or so? I can't remember the name of the bot though...podbot or something?
Anyway, one of the bots would always ALWAYS be called "Captain Obvious".
He got shot. A lot.

Mine has basically stuck with me since my first time on a forum, which was the Jedi Council Community. Basically took the name because it sounded cool and sums up how I feel about the Force. No real light and dark sides, all based on intent, so if I were in that universe, I wouldn't be approved of by the Jedi, hence Shadowknight. Threw in the 1 because just plain old Shadowknight was taken. lol
-
I got mine because I always used to suck up to adults when I was 6 or 7...so one time I yelled at my brother for asking my uncle to play trains with him, because I was busy showing him how to do multiplication on paper. My dad whipped "Constable" out of his ass and there we go!
-
Nice to see where the names came from!
Well, sovereign001.. no people i'm not a sovereign class that is typing on a gigantic keyboard..
It was when i was 14 years and i decided to take a nickname for a forum. First i wanted to take intrepid or something else, because if you pronounced it, it sounded nice (in belgian it did). But the name was already taken, and my friend who passed away (sovereign002/sovocles) needed a nickname too. So my dad sad, "what about that pancake vessel from the next generation?" I said "mmmh the new one?" He said "yeah." So i pronounced it a few times, it sounded quite bad ass, searched the meaning of it etc, and mmh it was nice but it was also taken :D Suddenly i heard in the background "sector 001", so i thought "hell why not, better than some random numbers.. ". My mate took 002, and voila, that's how it was created.
