Title: Andy Probert concept Ambassador.
Post by: thewallis on May 23, 2011, 11:15:11 AM
Was wondering if anyone has attempted doing this baby. I pretty sure someone on the forums was attempting this ship once.
If I had any modeling skill I would defiantly attempt it. Someone needs to get this in game.

Wiley was working on it, but he's since backburnered it to work on other projects

Since Tobias Richter released his orthographic views, my interest in this ship has been rekindled.

I really like this design!  Personally, I think they should've gone with this version instead of the one that is considered to be the official Ambassador class.  Perhaps this could be considered as a MK-III upgrade that would have been used to replace the lost NCC-1701 C before the design of the Galaxy class came into being; or was a competition to the Galaxy class as a new era of flag ships during that time in the mid 24th century?

since the thread started to veer offtopic about debating Probert's Ambassador Class design and the canon design, so the thread has been split from that point and that conversation has gone here (http://bc-central.net/forums/index.php/topic,8510.0.html) where that topic can continue...
