Post by: Phoenix Bondi on August 21, 2011, 05:45:14 AM
Ok guys about time i unload a guilty secret, I've not reinstalled bc in a good 4 years. but i lost my install i did have and every time i install things to it, i get black screen, i've installed it bit by bit and it just dosnt seem as stable OR as good as i once had it - now with origins RIGHT ROUND THE CORNER - i want to be able to place my ships in bc as well as legacy - now would some one be able to do me a favor and give me a list of things to install in order for example things i need to install the mods/ships ship packs or what not followed by system addon etc - like the old foundation tech. please please please can some one give me a list in order so i can get a stable install back so i can start playing again i really wanna play it and some of these new ships are fantastic!

simple solution... install KM 2010.02 and start adding things from there. (also check out my list - in the BC downloads section - it's a little old but still relevant)

KM will cover most of the non-ship additions like QBR, UMM, WalkFX, Galaxy Charts, etc. etc.

As far as what ships to add...there's a thread here for good ship designs that proved to be very useful when I was rebuilding my install...just go mental :D with ships as ling as the scripts/custom/ships .py files don't overwrite you can install whatever you want!

The next KM version will support this resolution. And yes I plan to release this year.

A separate release is also planned...
