As of now i am dropping out of the modding scene for an unknown amount of time, not just due to my lack of a comp TO continue my work, but in a way i feel as though my work has gone unnoticed and not as good as i felt it SHOULD have been to live up to others here, its not because of a lack of awards, because that never really mattered to me, at all. i love this community like a second family, but ive never been able to shake the "unwanted black sheep" feeling.
i will still check in from time to time to see how things are, but my voice will remain silent untill i decide to return.

I agree with the other guys in the confussion to the "Black sheep" statement.
Your work is definatly up there with the top modellers so don't sell yourself short.
Most people go loopy for canon ships and are luke warm at best when people try and come up with their own concepts (DJ's work being the exception). So don't take it to much to heart.
Most gamers are fickl at best and I've seen this time and time again.
Even if you don't mod for BC anymore don't give up on modelling.

dont be silly man, go buy a bottle of scotch, drink ur self stupid, go out party and come back to work in a weeks time lol - thats how time off sick should work lol - Look ur no way a black sheep, i mean i know how u feel i thought origins would be bigger than it is, but it dont mean its not being looked at by people who just dont post, just keep going and jump the hurdles if u give up ur never beat what u are fighting for, good luck no mater what u decide to do, but i hope its just u feeling a little sad with all the shit weather,

Im self critical, personall ive always thought all my work just simply sucks arse, But in all honesty it the situation im in, i dont have a comp to finish what ive started, ive made promises to get things done and every time i ATTEMPT to start them again or help out, shiz comes up and i have to turn back on all of it.. Making me feel... Well like an a$$ when its all said and done, ive ALWAYS been a man of my word, and this simply acceptable to myself. Itll prolly be the end of the year before i can even ATTEMPT to get back on the scene. Not to mention i simply CANT do too much for the community from a friggin cell phone :/

Come on Cy your work is great with a few more ships and more experience you could crank out some great original designs. Also you bring a sense of dark humour to this site, which is fantastic. :evil:

He does have a valid reason for telling us he's unable to mod for right now. Kinda hard to do 3D modeling from a cell phone.

well you must be looking at the wrong ships if you think yours "suck arse", granted i'm not a football fan so naming you ship "arsenal" was not inspiring, but then looking at the ship she's pretty good looking, as i believe i've mentioned before.
infact all your ships are pretty cool, obviously i'm looking at them next to my own attempts so a blank screen would look like gold pressed latinum in comparison.
You can model like the best of them and texture too... i struggle with modeling, texturing, exporting, and pretty much everything else that involves bc modding.
simply put you are GOOD. and need to ignore the comments of those that just blatantly slate mods... were is the helpfulness in saying "oh i don't like the textures they need to be redone by someone else"
but if you need a break do it but please don't give up... never do that. i haven't and whilst i "suck arse" i have (even i think) gotten better over the years, while still being rubbish... so stop hogging all the "i'm rubbsish" thoughts and let those of us who ARE rubbish have some of the Anti-lime light.
hope to see you back her soon (preferably with out the football ship naming fanaticism :D)

you want suck-arse? i dunno how many people I sent the Concours out to, only to get 2 reports back. hell, starforce threw mine out when i asked him to go over my hardpoint to make suggestions, cause he thought it was a old 'Starfleet Command' mod someone sent him!

Truthfully, I'm very sorry to see you go. I beta'd for you awhile ago and thought your work really was excellent, you're a very very good modeler and your HP was top-notch.

Anyhoo. Untill i hear back about the financing for this damn bike i DESPERATELY NEED, my money is tied up.. And the investment into another comp is a few pegs down the totom pole. I thank all of you for the inputs and asking me not to go, but as shadow has stated, there practically isnt ANYTHING i can really do from my phone, i cant even see pictures on this damn thing so i cant even follow new mods/modders.. And untill i have 150$ to drop on a newer phone (wich is one peg up prioritywise from the comp) im stuck this way. It is what it is. Ive a feeling it wont be but untill the end of summer till I can score a new rig

you haven't gone unnoticed. although i haven't used your ships much, they are fantastic. a few slight compatibility problems, but nonetheless, awesome.
