Am I the only one that has the disruptors firing from the body of the ship rather than the cannons?

Nope.  :)  I noticed that too.

there is another HP you can use the on labeled [pulse phaser] , READ the readme easy to overlook,
 I made it for my self , cause I have a low end computer, But It seems as tho the firing of disruptors from the center maybe a-lot more common than just a low end system. I was afraid that mite be the case.
but you can rename the  [pulse phaser] and it will fire a phaser that looks like a pulse\disruptor.

 :D :D

from the readme

there are two Hardpoints, if you have disruptor fire comeing from center, try this, rename the Hardpoint [pulsePhaser HP]SFSY_TMP_BOP.py to where it read only SFSY_TMP_BOP.py..

I'm having a couple of issues with the BoP's. The same disruptor location trouble as other people. Plus the wings don't move; they're always in a horizontal position. :(
I double checked I have ftech, Any ideas?

The new Enterprise is amazing, but I'm having some texture trouble. The top and rim of the saucer (which I believe are handled with the same texture file) are significantly darker than the textures on the rest of the ship. The texture colours look the same as the others when opened in photoshop. I think it maybe something to do with the model (possibly the direction of the face normals?). For the sake of investigation I renamed the bottom saucer texture and had it on the top aswell; It was darkened on top compared to the exact same texture on the bottom of the saucer. I've taken some screenshots to show what I mean. I took shots of both the top and bottom of the ship with the same lighting direction for comparison;

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8409/8705808046_7dd75d80ff_o.jpg

I've also noticed that when in warp, the bussards glow from behind but instead get a bright blue ring around them;

we know about the ship off color, not to sure what to say. The textures have been checked and re-checked. but we found NOTHINg different in the colors

As for the warp issue,no on reported Any problems

Post by: Lord Tribble on May 03, 2013, 04:53:24 PM
Yeah as I said I checked by applying one of the other parts textures and saw that it went dark as well. I think it may be the 3d model itself. I know textures can look weird if face normals on the model are inverted in 3d applications, I wondered if something like that may be it.

So is the warp thing normal then or is it just me that's got it?

I don't think all of the testers got the texture thing.  But I did as well.

As for the warp mode on the bussards, that would most likely be intentional.  Watch the scene in ST2009 when the Enterprise is trying to escape the black hole, there's a blue ring around the edges.

Yeah, but it was also lit up behind the 'blades'. I didn't know if the textures for them are supposed to show more of the light blue warp texture behind them like in the video baz posted a while back.

I spent an evening adjusting the textures to compensate for the darkening and matching them by eye to the bottom of the saucer in game

Got it pretty close  :D

Only just seen this... Your problem with the different hull colour on the saucer is because the ambient colour is different compared with the rest of the ship... That's what's cocking up the colour...

...it's not a -A, is it?  Cause that'd make me sad.  :(

And sure Tribble, it'll at least compensate until the update is ready or whatever.

Saw the film, loved it!

KINDA MAYBE A SPOILER:

 .........Saw the change, not keen. Seems a bit unnecessary when the Enterprise is still a new, top of the line ship. But that's not a discussion for here.

END SPOILER

@Shadowknight1; I'll pm it to you  ;)

Well , JB06, found a problem in the NIF, where the ambient lighting on some textures, were not matching up , to the ambient lighting of other textures, and we are waiting for a New Nif, if JB06 is not to Busy and can correct the issue, and Trimble has redone some of the textures

I think the change LT and Darkthunder are referring to are the changes to the actual ship by the end of Into Darkness.
