I agree with Phoenix, a registry change would be a simple, quick fix.

im a fucking cripple i can't fight my 6 year old daughter :lostit:
whats worse i was into mma and wresling back in the day, undefeated champion of my area 3 months :( damn that takes me back....*finds films and pictures*
-
O please tell me you will release these :dance
-
Im loving phoenix's one... and yeah its been around for a while so a registry change would be easy i guess.
but Gm your ships are pretty great too... though im sure there'd be some one on the fed council asking the battle station to be renamed something else like Tactical Station lol (or "slightly-aggressive-station that-could-possibly-fire-some-weapons-at-any-hostile-ships station) :D
I have to say i love tos ships, and loving them more so as i get older which is odd, got to say not sure bout the deflector dishes on the little arms though.
-
That spacedock is very cool!
-
I'm a bit confused... The ship with the 1290 registry is a re-make of a ship I released 3 years ago.
http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/TOS_Hawkins_Class;114217 (http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/TOS_Hawkins_Class;114217) with the same name/registry.

*looks* irony. that's why I can never use the reg series I came up with for my USS Trikadeksa, wiley beat me to it! (NCC-2113)
as for comparing GM's and Phoe's? Phoenix has tougher phasers, GM has more torps and phaser emitters. and I use em all.
"gabriel", hmm? did I just get a bit of a nod, or did someone miss it? first ship I skinned is named Gabriel

pardon the old ugly thing...

A number is a number and can easily and accidentally be duplicated. If following a specific categorical order in regards to era, it can be rather easy to label a ship the same number as another ship. We know that even the production staff at paramount made that mistake more than once - and it was with their own stuff. I really don't see the issue here. Both ships might have some configurations that are similar (and that's kind of easy to have happen regarding Fed ships in TOS), but I still see striking differences between the two. GMunoz already released a ship several years ago with the same registry. If there were no complaints about that then, then there shouldn't be any complaints about it now. I say the ship does not need to be altered at all unless GMunoz wants to make an alteration to it.
-
Excellent stuff Gustavo!
As far as Phoenix's ship and your ship are concerned, it's all good to me. Yours and his have slightly different variations.
-
I like them. One thing tho: It's Saladin mate, after the badass Moorish king :P

That's exactly what I said on another forum, as I get older, TOS has appealed to me more and more..

IMHO, Phoenix's vessel is more of mid-life upgrade or mission-specific upgrade with larger, more TMP-like sensor pod, where as GMunoz's ship presents the original design. Both have their merits.
-
:yay: I love the TOS era!
-
Love that drydock.
-
Someone has been working hard lately! The ships and both stations look great!
-
:banghead: still not answred my question though, are your buzzards animated or static lol
-
I also , like stations and drydocks :dance
-
phoenix, apologies. The bussards are not animated.
By the way, I am going to go ahead and change the registry on the ship.
-
GM is a TOS ship factory, practically, and they're high quality. I'd look foreward to adding to my TOS collection.
and, no, there's a special technique to making animated bussards that only a few people regularly do. it ads quite a bit of size to a ship file, and not everybody can handle the extras, especially with BC's leaky memory and the fact that custom comp builds are about the only ones that can handle a lot of comp extras.
although I do suggest looking up Anduril's TOS connie mod for a simplified version of the animated bussard trick
-
Here is the new number. I have also provided the original design (Neal Davidson) from the Starship Schematics Database:

These are great lad :)
Can't wait to add them to the TOS fleet
-
Thanks GM. Awesome addition.

ah actually it was he who made the refit, not that one, its an error with the site, and it has been spotted and getting changed keep your eyes out, and gm thank you very much, as to this comment

actually it dosnt make much difference, the way they are done is by a file that reads like a script, it reads the order progression of the file so for example buz1 buz2 buz3 ect, and works beautifully, the prblem is the exporting, it dosnt save the animation, it needs to be done in nifskope.
and again Awesome work GM,

How many nacelles are too many!? :funny
GMunoz's skill is really amazing, not only are his textures crisp and detailed, the specs are spot on and the models nice a smooth

Great stuff Gustavo!

I love that it says "No one takes credit for this". Like anyone would.
-
Man I cant wait for these and your SFM Pack
Now to the pic wiley posted sometime when I see a design like that I wonder what the were smoking or how drunk they were
Stuff like that is crap and shouldn't be posted in my opinion
-
Love the Kubrick
-
G....GREAT to have you back and great TOS work yet again. Have a cookie, man!
-
Thanks Guys! This ship has always been one of my favorites. I think. It's simplicity and "retro" looking sensor technology fit into the TOS era beautifully.
As for the schematic suggested by Wiley, I think I will pass on this one. Although I would love to see a ship like that blow up. Would put your piloting skills to the test avoiding spinning nacelles.

Man... that thing is horrible!!! :D

great work, the detail on the nacelle engine glows is excellent.

GMunoz said I could update his thread :) Here is a little something we are working on. The Prospero class. I had intended it to be for the contest but here it is so far :D

Does GMunoz keep his models on a separate website other than filefront?
Any link to all his models would be nice. His ships are perfection.

The McKinney Class looks very interesting! Looking forward to its release. :)
BR32

She is a Prospero class ship. I emailed Gus about uploading her to BC Files etc.
Adam if you have any problems downloading any of his ships send him a PM on here, I'm sure he would be happy to help you out if he can
