Here is the final proof of concept for the Oberth.

Well, he did say it was a TNG Oberth. :P

The square nacelles shaped like that seem a bit odd. Maybe you could base the nacelles off of the Cheyenne class?

The necelles are like lego and I hate them...

But knowing you you are already building new ones

yes i am aware of that, and it could have gone in a number of different directions and still remain true to the TNG look...
he chose to make it look like it belonged in the "family" of Galaxy class ships (like Nebula, New Orleans, etc) and thats what i was expressing interest about :P

The necelles are like lego

I thought that too. xD Round them off some and I think that the design could work.

i agree about the nacelles; somehow i think Galaxy-style nacelles would work, tho it may make the ship too similiar to a Galaxy class ship; i guess it depends on if Baz wants that look entirely or not...

I think they just need something akin to that 'squashed cylinder' look that the Galaxy nacelles have. Maybe not as flat, though.

I have to disagree.  24th Century ships don't all have to mimic the Galaxy Class.  I'd say for a ship like this, she should have Olympic style Nacelles like the USS Pasteur.

But that ship was only ever seen in a 'possible' time line. :p

Yet it's registration  (NCC-58925) sets it in the Pre-TNG period. The USS Nobel (NCC-55012) destroyed in the Dominion war, although never seen, is recognised to be an Olympic class starship. (Star Trek Encyclopedia & production staff)

Also, even if the Olympic class didn't exist in canon, why couldn't a ship have similar nacelles? It's not like they're a radical alteration of existing ones. If Baz gave us a registration-range for the prototype then it would be easier to get a nacelle design, but I still think ones similar to the Cheyenne class would fit.

lol a lot of post to catch up.

Been away since Friday (went to Glasgow to See Pink in concert).

Anyway, I will look at the nacelles tomorrow. I was trying to give them the Oberth lines but with a TNG feel. But like I said I'll look at them.

The S5 NX-class refit by Doug Drexler.

Calvin grows up to be Frazz. The logical continuation of this is, of course, that Frazz then grows up to be Edward Norton's character from Fight Club. And thus, all four of these characters are gods.Let's go one more step. Calvin grows up to be Jeremy, who grows up to be Frazz, who grows up to be "Tyler Durden," while Suzie grows up to be Haruhi Suzumiya; since Kyon becomes The Doctor, this leads to the inescapable conclusion that after the end of Fight Club, Calvin becomes Captain Jack.

Much better, looks like it's somewhere between Ambassador and Galaxy styles, with a pinch of Oberth. Perfecto!

Is it me or is the saucer-engineering hull neck missing/not modeled? As I can see it in your concept art.
