What could have happened if Picard left
« on: September 21, 2010, 10:25:38 AM »
I remember reading a while back that "the best of both worlds" was suppose to be the end of Picard cause Patrick Stewart was planning on leaving.  How would that changed what we know TNG was, I mean really Riker as captain (sigh he's so inept in my opinion) but I like how they were "grooming" him into the position with that commander upstaging him and him coming to terms that he has to change. Its a shame they didn't keep with that later in the series. There were other characters that wanted to leave at various parts, but I think Patrick Stewart leaving would have been something major, opinions?

My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me."

it's probably typical of British Actors.  they flip between series, movies, plays, etc constantly, so they don't like hanging about in a part too long.

That's why we've had as many Doctors as we have. *chuckles*

Google "typecasting". That'll explain why British actors keep dropping and changing out of roles. :P
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

All British actors have to be evil in American television. Hence BoBW.

It is however somewhat true...I've noticed most british actors/tresses play evil parts.  not all, but most
