Those are Tobias Richter's orthos. My Enterprise-D was based from them. They are very accurate.

What episodes are you all looking forward to seeing in season 2?

I can't wait for "Contagion" and "Q Who".  (Well actually I can wait.  I can't justify $115 for one season.)
Thanks for letting me know the forum was back up, guys.  I thought everyone died.

Q Who, and Measure of a Man would be my favs from that season. Plus, the remastered Measure of a Man, is supposed to include a special extended version of the episode.

That's pretty quick. We haven't quite got season 2 yet and they already release the trailer for 3. Looks stunning though, it's the one I'm really looking forward to. Yesterday's Enterprise in HD  :yay:

Ok so, a Special separate release of BOBW will be released along side of the Season 3 Blu-Ray release, it will be both parts.

Season 3 will just include part 1.

Here comes season 5!  I do believe they're getting much better at CGing missing shots.

Is anybody worried about TNG toned down cinematic quality?  Towards the end and into early DS9 and VOY Star Trek adopted its own kind of television style, very formulaic and stoic.

I wonder if we've seen the last of the TNG cinema events.  Season 4 is out next month and nothing has been announced.

I'm getting a tax rebate and I am very tempted to buy seasons 1-4 on blu ray. I have the Best of Both Worlds disc and it just knocked my socks off!

Damn that's crazy!!
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Now that's a damn good model.  I must have an eye for spotting CG imagery or something, because I'd seen that shot before and thought "that's CGI, surely?"...

A bloody nice model though.  No doubt.

That can't be just a bump map right? Those panels must be modeled in at least a little bit. She's clearly ready for the big screen if I do say so myself. Dayumn!
All hail the messiah!

You'd be surprised the level of detailing that can be achieved with some proper bump/normal mapping, and other visual trickery.

A lot of that detail looks modelled in, especially the escape pods etc.  The stuff that (to me) looks normalled/bumped in is the azteching.
