Who would win?
« on: January 24, 2012, 11:52:11 AM »
Many Years ago, a friend of mine on a forum for the game Battlestations Midway created a very popular thread called... Who would win? I created a similar topic with videos of those matches from a different ship game. It didn't go down well. However, although the original Who would Win thread has gone the way of the dinosaurs owing to a not very active community, I think it could be transferred to this place, which is still very much active.

The rules are simple: choose two starships of a similar class, display their specs (warp capability, amount of weapons etc.). Whereas the original thread discussed battleships and cruisers of WW2, this thread is comparing starships.

To make a bit simpler, these are the original specs needed, with their Star Trek equivilent:

Main Battery=primary energy weapons, like phasers
Secondary Battery=secondary energy weapons or number and type of torpedoes used
Armor=Does it have ablative armour, or is it only lightly armor
Speed=Obviously maximum warp speed

To try and make it even simpler to explain, heres the link to the original: http://battlestations.eu/index.php/en/forum/topic?id=177

If anyone likes the idea of this thread, just say so.

So, this is Star Trek Top Trumps? The Borg win, the end.

"Beyond the rim of the star-light
My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me."

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
 We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
 One equal temper of heroic hearts,
 Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
 To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
