lol I like Starforce2 likes it, DJ.

I don't like the bussards. They need to be boxier & more "predatory" (psychologically intimidating,) such as the ones on the Xenon-Class. Make 'em appear a bit less TOS & more TNG/VOY/DS9 & Beyond.

It never really struck me like that.  I like it how it is, but a change will probably look just as cool, considering DJ is making it.

Yeah actually its a good transition ship! Never noticed that before.
Indeed.

Anyhoo, I like it for the most part.  It looks a little too drawn out in the front, in my opinion.  But overall, it looks great!

DJ, your ships are automatic downloads for me.

I am amazed that you can make a ship that works flawlessly and looks like it really belongs in the best starfleet museum.

keep up your amazing work and please don't ever retire.

Anybody been wondering why there haven't been any updates to my Galaxy Class in the last week?

Now you know why.

I needed a little break from my Galaxy, and after sitting on my hard drive for the better part of a year, this little baby was just begging me for some progress.  I guess the cold February weather gets me in the mood to work, so I hunkered down and here's the results so far.  The whole ship has been mapped, and is textured for the most part.  I'd like to add a lot more details to it, as well as more hull paneling, especially in the dark areas which have none.  I also want to play with the glows and add some registry lights.  I'm also going to have to do some work to the impulse engines, as I'm not crazy with the way they're glowing.

The being said, I'm really happy with the way the bussard collectors and deflector have turned out.  I made a significant number of changes and additions to the mesh since I last worked on this ship that have smoothed some things out and added detail.  I'm really liking that the ship has turned out to look really predatory.  When I set out, i wanted to make a hot-rod starship, and I feel like I've accomplished that.  When I look at it from the front, the ship looks like its ready to pounce. :D

Anyhow, I've not really released a new ship since the Enterprise-F back in September, so I think I'm going to focus on trying to have this ship available by March 3rd, which will be the 2nd anniversary of the release of my Supremus Class ship.  Just to prove I can power out the ships if I really wanted to.

Here's a ton of pictures.  Enjoy.

Actually, there's only 2 impulse engines. Love the design by the way.
