nope actually in this particular ship it was done like this 'NCC(space)-(space)1017(space)A and this is exactly how it was done with Ent-A in ST5,6 tho it may look weird

It kinda looks like you used more than one space but for comparison I pulled a pic from ST5,6 just for comparison
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

:? ooookkkk I will say that again NCC(ONEspace)-(ONEspace)1017(Onespace)-(ONEspace)A, I hope this will be clear enough :D they could've streched due to arch tool and due to that registries should be 30% smaller at the bottom saucer

To make it easier...you can highlight the space and select a different font size.  This way, your letters will be the same size but the (space) will be smaller.  It's what I do when I make a registry.

I can see a space in those reference pictures but a small one.  Could work...

Ok, the Ent. A's registry looks almost like this NCC -- 1701 - A There's one big dash before the 1701, and one small one afterwards...IIRC.

Not to start a flame war or anything..but regardless of how many spaces you say you are putting in there..it just looks to spaced out for me. If you would be so kind as to include blank textures for this pack so we can make our own registries...Thanks a lot...

I like the way you guys fixed the mesh, it looks better...

Ya, the reg...you're gonna need to edit the font layer in PS to join the extra long dash...

It's been a while since last post but here is an update on V.2 :
Lint and Cordanilus have helped Me with improving the model, now it has better detailed pylons and both sides of nacelles lit (thanks to Cordanilus) and it has all new and shiny saucer straight from Lint :D

As soon as Lint will finish remaping saucer, I'll improve textures to give them even more details

check out new model : :D

looks very good.  it's a really nice ship actually.  though there are still some smoothing issues to sort out by the looks of that pic, though they are minor.

So did anything ever materialize with this? Sorry to rez an old thread but the Constellation is one of my favorite ships and this looks like the best bet for a quality mod.

It's lying on my HDD (fortunately I had it backed up before my HDD fried)

Model is ready, textures are still V.1 so I would have to replace them with new from Constitution V.2, dunno how it turn up as I'm trying to fix Khaliban's Connie now so it may take a while ...

Do you have a picture of the current model with the textures on it? I really do not like mapping ships.

Since the last reply from this thread was from January 2008, and it is now June 2009, that will be a NO.
