Slight update... CGI Model now has fully working ftech nacelles. The Mvam model once the aeroshuttle has been launced has been done so now Voyager has a hole were the aeroshuttle should be. that is also fully scripted and I've made some nice sfx to go with it.

Shouldnt be long now till beta testing starts.

That's quite alright JB.  This is turning out quite well, and I'll be happy with testing her when she's available at BC Files ;).

Wow, it's looking amazing now. No offense LC but I think this one looks better. It's hard to distinguish it from the actual CGI model.

Hey Great retexture, I can see the glows looking more like the cgi version, But one question, will This version have, The Glows that continue onto the hull like near the  main deflector? U know how theres a blue glow that just taints the hull where the back of the aero shuttle is  ? ill get a pic ;)

Thanks everyone.

Come to think of it i havent tried the blue glow infront of the main deflector, but it maybe worth a try, whilst im waiting for the mesh to be completed.

Should the deflector glow stay or go?

The deflector glow certainly adds a more real-to-life feel to the ship, and makes it less like a 'model.'  Perhaps decrease its intensity ever so slightly?

Not really a fan of the glow but if you want to keep it, then I say decrease its intensity aswell.

Though, if it were me, I would get rid of that effect altogther. Just doesnt look 'right' to me.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Does the glow on the bottom side of the suacer vanish when its in Silent Running mode? (all lights off)

Or is the glow actually 'in' the ship texture itself?

Well the blue is on the texture... here it is on silent running. I for one don't use the sr very often as it messes up the pulses.

You may be able to get around it by just having an alpha channel on the textures, the only problem is that it won't have the same blue colour as the deflector, Still worth working on further!!  :D

Nice stuff.

Thats the reason why I thought it would be better without that glow. Because when on Silent Running, it would look like its been vandelised and spray painted blue. In other words, it looks strange.

Heres an idea, why dont you release seperate textures at the same time of the ship itslef. That way, if people dont like the blue glow, they can put in the alternate textures that dont have the blue glow on them.

Just a thought.

Well i considered that on a free in college, but i dont think it would have the same effect. I tried it, but it just doesnt looks as good without the blue.

Well i could, but lets face it, you can't exactly do a lot in sr and most of the time you should be flying around "exploring and that's when the ship looks its best ;)

EDIT: this is without the blue, but still with the alpha glow. I don't think it looks as good.

I'll give you a cookie if you release alternate saucer textures for it.

Also, I remember you saying that you had done something with a type 9 shuttle. Would be awesome if that got sent out with this aswell.
