I'm honored to be helping in the development of these babies :D I can only say to you all that these ships are amazing, the effort thats gone into them is beyond what I expected and then some more and a bit more for good measure.

Hey JB, I've got some bad news.  Unfortunately the conversion is simply causing way to many mesh errors to make fixing the smoothing errors really viable.  I tried fixing the errors by re-welding vertexes and such, but still a ton of stuff ends up being deformed in small ways.  The real problem is that in order to fix them all, I'd have to basically repair the mesh, which would really mess up your UVW maps.  For the time being, if you can't fix the smoothing in MS3d, I'd say you'll have to live with it.  Sorry man, I gave it the ol' college try

Darn. Well, thanks for trying. I'm sure you gave it your best shot. I'll look again at trying to fix it in Milkshape, but if not, I guess it'll have to have the errors. Well, unless of course I try and alter the mesh in Max!

I dunno.  The smoothing looked pretty good to me in those last 2 pics.
Look at this one. :D

P.S.
JB, I can always remap the hull should the smoothing get messed up.  It won't be the best but I'm sure I can make it look good :D

No probs DJ, i think limey will just have to make the alterations again in max install of ms3d. I think it's when you import the original nif into ms3d were the problem begins. SO limey get some tutorials and learn the mutha f*ker :D

If that fails, i still have the old plans which show what needs changing from lc's studio model to convert it to the cgi model, so if someone with knowledge of max and is good in max, give me a bell either via pm or msn, to see if you can change the model.

Aparently its not quite working at the moment, and we don't quite know why!! Worse news, I'm off home in a little under 2 hours, and my computers not heading home till Saturday, then on Sunday, I'm off down to London for the day, so little/no work is gonna get done on my end over the weekend.

wow just wanted say the Mod is looking uber good :D Personally i liked the medium blueness u had :D u know the one where u comapred it to the show, it looked perfect in my op, But maybe make the glow longer, since in the show the blue light carrys all the way to the phasers, But i really am nitpicking here !!! also the Blue parts on the warp nacelles, in that pic u posted it was light blue in the middle then darker blue on the edges. Also the blue u have on the nacelles the now would look like the perfect colour for the deflector. i just want it perfect, But i so love the flyer now, its so cool and nifty, great work :D and i cant believe u got the nacelles working so fast, textures look awesome btw :D great work :D Im sorry for all my Nitpicking But i just want it to be the best mod it can be, and ive watched this ship for so long now on the eps I feel like i know it well :) its the only ship Im like that with, well maybe the Sov too, but i dont know her so well,

Lol ok if you split it up into paragraphs like i have done that is my only nit pick lol O/J It's just hard to read with a hangover :D

So you're saying darken the glow for deflector and darken the deflector itself?

No...that does not look as good.  It was great how it was, IMO.  It looked like...smeared...or something.

@jb06: The coloring of the defector looks nice. But you might want to sharpen up the specular on the Deflector.

Well ive lightened it up abit now.. but the new deflector has the colours from the show.

Thanks, i only update the spec when i thought it was done... so thats still got the original specular.

Anywho this will be my last post of the night as im planning on getting trashed :D Take note of the new lines at the back of nacelles, the new deflector and also that the smoothing errors have gone thanks to cordanilus :D

I want loads of comments by tomorrow :D
