  • Doctor who? ;)
I've just checked the IMAX listing for an IMAX theater in London, and it says that its a 2D presentation.

So, should I just see it at my local ODEON cinema or will there be a noticable difference when seeing it on an IMAX screen?

A trip to London is normally about an hour for me so its not too bad. Plus, it would be my first trip to an IMAX cinema so it better be worth it.  :D

(EDIT: If I see it at IMAX, should I bring earplugs for when they play the THX ident before the movie, lol? Its bound to have the THX ident play there. )
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Scroll down till you get to the bit where the Hobus star goes supernova. Then it's ST:XI related.

Which pretty much confirms what we already knew and makes since as to why the Rommies aren't major players.

Eh, so Romulus goes boom.  Not the end of the Romulan Star Empire.  Not only do they have plenty of colonies, I doubt the entire fleet was destroyed.  But I'd be willing to bet that they go back to being isolationist for a while.  Now the Remans, they're pretty well boned.  They have maybe one or two off-world colonies?  Maybe a few scattered still as slaves throughout the Empire?

And then we find out that Spock's ship with the spinny thing is called the Jellyfish.

Also the last line of the Star Trek: Countdown official prequel. So yes, the STO timeline has very much to do with the new movie.

I also believe Romulus is that planet being blown away in one of the Trailers. (probably a clip from a flashback)

Actually, the planet being blown away is imploding.  I'm thinking Nero heads to Vulcan first, destroying it.  Then he heads to Earth, where we see him firing at San Fran.

The planet imploding MAY be Vulcan.  But in another trailer there is a planet being blown apart by a huge shockwave, which is likely the Hobus supernova hitting Romulus.  No one cares about the poor Remans.  :(

yeah in the trailers we see two planets biting-the-dust.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.
