When I come to America, I am going to force you to watch all 10 seasons of SG-1, all 5 seasons of Atlantis and all the Universe episodes released.

I'll have to bring a tazer with me, but I will succeed!  :D

I second this.

As do I. You will see that Teal'C + Ronon Dex = major kick ass.

Will go on forever.

Well that was... Upsetting. I was really liking Lou/Telford as part of the cast, and for him to just get a fade-to-black outro... The Aliens seem friendly enough, and it seems safe to assume they only attacked because the seed ship was at risk of going dead. Who knows, maybe he'll come back?

He was only signed for 13 episodes. I suppose the ship could do without Telford and Young butting heads over command, as I'm sure that would've been inevitable.  :funny

I dunno, I think we will seem him at least one more time, no way they are just going to make him fade out like that. I think he is going to play some role later, like giving the aliens a edge over attacking destiny or something like that

I've recently been watching SG-1 from the beginning again. I've worked my way up to Season 7 in just a couple of weeks (I have no life lol) and I must say, it was just as fun the second time through as it was the first. Teal'c will never cease to amuse me.

Apparently the same can be said about Chris Judge off camera, too. According to Ben Browder and Michael Shanks he's the real joker, so much so that he and Michael squeezed out a log of cookie dough into Ben browders toilet as a prank!

IIRC I think Canada is considered in the same region.

Maybe for trailers, but not for anything else.

Another Mid-season break.

November-March apparently.

SG:U won't last if they keep this up, especially with the new Tuesday slot.

I'm having a hard time actually liking this show. I was a big fan of the original (SG-1), and enjoyed SGA immensely. But SGU is just too damned different from either of its predecessors.

I've seen all of Battlestar Galactica, i've seen all of Star Trek Voyager, and i've seen all of Stargate. SGU definitely has elements of all of the above (Battlegate Voyager), and it's not combined in a good way either. With the show currently struggling for ratings (not surprising, given it's aired opposite shows like NCIS: LA), I have my doubts it will last past this season. Add to that, the current financial difficulties of MGM (owner of the Stargate property).

That has absolutely nothing to do with it. They may own the franchise, but the series is entirely funded by Syfy. If anything, MGM will fight to keep it going. It's a steady stream of income. The only way MGM's financial problems will factor in is if they have to sell of assets, and Stargate goes to someone else who doesn't want to keep the current deal going.

and it's not combined in a good way either.

Personally, I couldn't dissagree more. I love SGU. I think they way they blended what elements they did from BSG and ST:Voy was fantastic. It really works. I think it's more consistantly good than most of SGA or SG-1. Both of those had fantastic episodes, but interspersed with quite bad ones. To me, SGU hasn't had that at all yet.

We'll agree to disagree then. I may have seen all of SGU thus far, but I have yet to actually like any episode beyond the pilot.

Colonel Young needs to be relieved of command, or otherwise "put aside". His actions in dealing with the Lucian Alliance (both during their boarding of the ship, and afterwards), speak volumes on his being unfit. I would personally have hoped for Colonel Telford to take command, since it was him that was suppose to lead the mission originally. Young was more or less a pencil-pushing desk jockey back at Icarus base.

And you don't think that makes it all so much better? They said in the first episode, with the exception of a few of them, they're all the wrong people for the job. Young's unorthodox methods add tension between him and Rush and Wray.

As was stated in a recent episode: "Prisoners have rights". Young tried to kill one of the prisoners by smashing the guys head against the deckplate. How does that make him a good leader?

Wrong people for the job = Young tried to kill one of the prisoners by smashing the guys head against the deckplate.

Good episode in my opinion, I'm wondering what Rush is planning to do with Cloe now and I'm wondering, is he crazy, is the ship really talking to him, OR are they really ancients talking to him???? I'm seeing alot of relationships degrading too, which I guess after a few monthss would be normal given the situation and all

I think the best is yet to come although I would have prefered Sky One to conclude season one of Caprica instead of having to wait even longer for it.

I think long mid season breaks can be damaging especially with envolved, complex stories like Caprica and SGU. I was just starting to get into both and then boom mid season breaks and then when SGU came back I found I couldn't get back into it again so I only watched the season 1 finale as I wanted to give it another go when season 2 began.

I feel a different tone with this season, I get the sense that something is out there and Destiny's relationship with her passengers gets more intriguing.

But again I would have prefered to finish Caprica first then have SGU back for its second season.

Anyone else think the Nelson rating system is effing stupid? There should develop another way to track viewings.
