Phoenix Science Variant definitely a yes on that one, I'm still wondering whether to release them altogether or as seperate ship packs. Each variant will have four or five custom regs some canon some original.

As for the Melbourne, I'm not really a fan of that variant. The smaller nacelles look out of place with the rest of the ship.

Also a Bonchune Variant may also follow at some point.  :)

I agree, the Melborne is a abomination.
But I'm very happy that you will make a Phoenix Variant, I always liked the Phoenix :D
btw, what is the Bonchune Variant? I never heard of it.

AKA CGI Nebula, the Bonchune Variant was even more of a Galaxy Kitbash than the original studio model. The upper saucer has the same window placements, and an indentical Secondary Hull to the Galaxy Class.

This variant (CGI Nebula) was first seen on DS9, season six and onwards.  :D

Don't leave off the melburne. As silly as it was to have them little nacelles up there it was a wolf 359 command ship...

Something about the Melbourne has been confusing me as of late, and I think I've discovered what and why...

In accordance to the DS9 episode "Emissary", the starship Melbourne wasn't a Nebula Class variant at all. In fact, she was an Excelsior class ship, as you'd notice should you pay close attention to the registry if you watch the episode.

Here's a reference. But perhaps it was just a screw up on the behalf of the DS9 production staff or something...?

I'm not sure where anybody gets the term Melbourne from. Sure, it was mentioned in the TNG episode "The Best of Both Worlds"... part two, I *think*. And sure, we did see this particular variant of Nebula Class Starship in that episode, though horridly disfigured. But I never saw any evidence that this particular variant was ever named Melbourne. The only Cannon reference I've ever found was in "Emissary", discrediting the naming of that Nebula variant...

Perhaps somebody could PM me about this, as I could be wrong... and I have yet to test out this site's PM system... been dying to... :P

Anyways, I, for one, thought the "Melbourne" was kinda neat. Unusual, but neat. I'm not going to request that it be made as I already have a "Melbourne" in BC, but... still. Would be pretty cool to see you do, should you ever decide to. I do love this nebula. It's clean, very well textured, and heavily detailed. You should be very proud. :)

I see, well it was worth asking about since the best one we have for BC is completely uncannon to the studio model, and as far as I know no ones ever done a completely accurate Melbourne variant.

The USS Brochune varient is capable of Warp 9.9 because it was following the Prometheus quite easily.

Happy new year folks, this is my first update for 2008!!  :dance :king :dance

I've completed tweaking the hull colour scheme, it looks a lot more convincing now. Adjustment were made to the base colour and aztecing, basically I desaturated the aztecs and adjusted the hue of the hull to give the ship a more turquoise(y) look.

Textures are now complete for the most part, though I'm gonna experiment with bevel effects which might make things look more realistic.

In the meantime, enjoy the update!!  :)
