Thanks DJ, I'm pretty happy with the colour scheme at the moment but I'll be sure to test these out once I've finished adding the alpha channels.

Update

The alpha channels are almost complete and I'll post some pics of them before the weekend. I've also completed my "final pass" of the textures, tweaking the colour scheme a little more and desaturating certain areas to give the ship a more realistic look.

Here are screenies of the final 3D model in Nifskope.

stunning man.  I love it.  I can't wait to use it.  You're certainly a better texture maker than I.  You simply must texture on of my meshes someday. :D

Looks very good! I am still using the Nebula Pack, but this is a very pretty alternative!

Thanks to everyone for all of your comments.

I disagree with you on that one DJ, I'm a great fan of your textures especially since you make all your textures in max and not a dedicated graphics suite like photoshop.

Also I would really enjoy texturing one of your meshes at some point, once I've got this project released.... who knows!!.

Cheers Bigkap, but it's gonna be at least another month yet as I've got another two or three variants to do yet plus the scripting and regs.  :D

Here we go as promised a few screenies of the completed alpha channels including the Galaxy style deflector. I've also made a start on the speculars, pics of them will be posted once they are finished possibly in three or four days. :)

it is really nice, the only problems i see on it is that the secondary hull 'edge' is too thin and the part that joins the top of the hull is not smooth but rather is a hard angle. the thing is totally beautiful. the pod is a better shape than any attempt ive had at it. i like the extra details in the textures.

Your texture-work is just awsome, this beats all currently available Nebulas on lenghts,
hats off to your work :D

OMFG awesome!! now all it needs is that other deflector.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

I will hold my judgement on the textures until the specs are added, but that is one fine model.

I will stick with CZ's Nebula pack still, but this is shaping up to maybe replace it! (which sucks, because I don't want to remove the other pack :P)
