I don't think the pod ever actually rotated, did it?

dont exactly know, but the pod makes interferance with the shields, so that there is one second where the shields have to be remoduled..
In that time it is possible to beam 1 person through.

And I dont think that a simple pod that doesnt do anything else than scanning causes such an interferance.

And the design seems to be built on the AWACS airplanes, and their pod actually rotates, but dont know if its really canon..

I have never saw that the pod rotate, so I think it's not canon.

The sensor pod never rotated. On the AWACS planes the pod is held at a single point allowing it to rotate. The sensor pod on the Nebula class is held in place at 2 points meaning it can't rotate.

Update.

After three or four days testing I've finally found the right balance for my speculars. My intention was not to make them to dark.

I think to many people make speculars that are High Contrast and drowned out detail from the hull textures and glows. These speculars have been lightened to complement and enhance hull textures and help to give the ship a more metallic look.

Hope you all like..... c&c always welcome!!

I only can say it again and again, you have done a tremendous job there, your textures are amazing.

Very cool. Just please dont make whatever change that CR did in his Neb pack which caused my bridge crew to become merged into a single monstrosity on whatever bridge I use, lol :p

I was just looking at the phaser strip on the engineering hull using the magnifier on my mouse, and to be honest, it doesn't look as good as the rest of the ship. Was it modeled or textured on? I couldn't really tell.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

I looked at that too, and he seems to be right, it looks a little off.  Beyond that, excellent work here, I always liked the Nebula design.

it's modelled on to the ship, I'm probably gonna have a look at it before the final release but not moment as I'm currently working on the Phoenix Variant Mesh.

Holy Jebus that is looking gorgeous! But your escape pods still do not match the studio model. Screw 'em, I don't care! This ship is a mint fudge double chocolate sundae!
