Windows Movie Maker is a simple video editor if you want to resize your video, save in WMV. Or add extra audio with the video. You can edit out any mistakes you've made while making the tutorial as well. While your recording and you make a mistake with your words, as an example. You can wait for a sec and then continue. You can edit out that silence and mistake after.
Then again, you can start from the beginning if you wish and go from start to finish with no errors. Usually with screen recorders, the files tend to be large and a video editor can help shrink the size of the end result.
I can't reccomend any other free video editor at this time as I am testing 2, and 1 doesn't seem to work very well and is complicated to use.
