no one can resist the Mithra's feminine charms.

I always thought of her as more of a Tomboy.

Just to make it known: I'm not giving up on this old girl. I've been working on cleaning up the old crap armor plating and re-working the deflector housing a little bit, and due to a mistake I made along the way there'll be a new deflector dish assembly constructed for her as well. Hopefully nicer and smoother than the former.

It's really hard to get rid of the armor AND maintain a clean mesh simultaneously, so it's taking me a while. But don't worry [not that you are... :P] she'll get back in the game soon enough. Also, I'm wondering what I should do with the aft section [where the pods used to be mounted]. Since I don't really feel like doing pods at the moment, and I got rid of the old piece of junk that didn't really go well with the rest of the mesh... I'm wondering what I should do for that area? Something like Rengers' Elision [sp] perhaps? [the intrepid-ish ship] ?

Ideas are totally welcome. :)

Just as long the Mithra looks good all round. I'll have a proper look at the Mithra and see what I think.

MITHRA!

Enjoy your screenie.

edit: I SO have to re-size this saucer...

Edit 2: Oh yeah, Ive re-built the nacelle pylons and added a set of secondary pylons similar to what the Ancheron has. Its all very much a wip (obviously... :()

Those pylons are fraking awesome! Cookie time :D

It would probably be easier to scale the pylons and nacelles down rather than scaling the saucer up.

Lookin' good!

Something about the pylons remind me of a B5 Whitestar.... or the Andromeda Ascendant.

cool as always.  it's been interesting to watch the design evolve, especially at the back.  the mesh is a bit of a mess right now, you're right.  But I'm sure you'll get it cleaned up.  Just cut it in half, start at the back and work your way forward.  My advice... as you fix errors, look for anywhere you can reduce the polycount.

I love the pylons, and I agree with limey, it'd probably be easier to scale down the nacelles and/or pylons.  Lookin great!

Good news. I have ideas. Good ideas. And if I can find a backup of one very particular Mithra variant at one very particular point in time... it will mean the difference between a texture start time and continuing to model a new ship. Working on my CGI project taught be a hell of a lot, and I mean a HELL of a lot. Tools I really wished I'd been using with my lil' Mithra baby right from day one. :/

Anywho, I'm gonna try to find that file... Just letting people know that I'm never, EVER forgetting about my baby. >:3 She will be made. And she will be perfect. You will see, younglings... you will see.
