Thanks! The original idea I did get from seeing an achilles design being made on SFM. I really liked how the pylons were made so I decided to try out something similar, since the Mithra is widely based on the Achilles/Titan/Intrepid, anyways. :]

*added a second & third pic to my previous post*

Edit: I've also realized that there's plenty of blending to do to make the hull seem more uniform with the pylons... all will come in time.

I really like the dual underside launchers.  i might be inclined to have the inner (part of the ventral saucer) not so recessed, or at least angle the edges a bit more.

You mean making the "indents" a bit shallower? I'll try that, just gimme a minute to do it and pop off a render. :]

I lowered the saucer indent so it's shallower. This look a bit better?

TBH, I don't like the split pylon thing going on.  One of the things I hated on the Achilles.

One thing about the pylons, does the back pylon have to curve toward the saucer? I think it would look so much better curving away, like this:

Instead of:

((-0

It looks silly curved away. Tried it.

Markyd I've only ever been working on the game version and this is it. This model will, however, also be my base for the movie-level variant [for lack in a better term].

Nice ship Aeries, its come a long way.
About the nacelles and pylons.

I think you are trying to mix two different 'styles'.
The saucer and kneck suggesta  sleeker more elegant ship (like the sovereign), where as the pylons and nacelles suggest something more solid looking like the akira.

Try narrowing the nacelles by 25% and making your pylons about a third as thick as they are now.

Nice work mate.
