The B'Rel for BC was in need of a revamp. Once you get the textures fined tuned
it'll be an ace model. Keep up the good work!

wow, where do i begin,
Its been awhile since i have updated this thread but i can promise you all its not due to lazyness, Its quite the opposite actually!
I think you all know my track record with textures (if you can call them that ) so i have put all my effort and ability into the B'rel and K'vort, Not just because they are my fav klingon ships (possibly fav ships altogether), i think the over all design is something unique,
So i am putting the most effort into these ships than any other ship i have ever done, no rush jobs this time,
Usually i would have finished the ship by now if i was doing my usual thing but im sticking to the tedious detailed texture way :D, Anyway!, lets get to the ship!,

I have decided to complete the k'vort first, primarily because it will take me awhile longer to do the B'rel because of the ftech and plus i want to release the B'rel with a couple different HP's, Which im planning to be a ST:6 Bird of Prey, A "Way of the Warrior" Bird of Prey, which was shown firing an aft torpedo, A typical TNG B'rel, and i want todo a ST:3 BoP, with weaker Hp's and i might even chuck a "H.M.S Bounty" on her in bright red paint ;).

So here is what i have so far for the k'vort,
The textures are about 40-50% done, she is actually a fair bit darker in game, the speculars in max lighten her up abit.
And there is also a couple minor model adjustments i want to fix before release,
Anyway, Here she is..

As I said once already on MSN... this is stunning work, Lint. You are no longer allowed to diss your own work. :) this K'vort is most certainly on my favorites list now.

Alright,
Im happy to report the texturing and mapping is more or less complete,
All thats left is adding the Insignia.
With any luck the K'vort "MIGHT" be released later on today. (But i would'nt hold my breath)
The Next stage will be Implementing Ftech for the wings, I have decided that the wings will be raised in green/yellow alert or when entering/traveling in warp and will be Lowered when coming out of warp (If your in Red alert),

That will be done today as some point, (when limey gets home from celebrating St Patricks day),
I have also decided to give the impulse engine animated textures,
I want to replicate the BOP's impulse engine from ST: 3 and 4, which showed it having a soft random flicker and flare in certain spots, its difficult to explain, but if you have seen either of those movies and payed attention you will know what i mean .
Here are some pics of both the Models, In the "Cruise" Mode and "Battle" configuration.
Enjoy!.

That's a pretty vicious looking bird, but question.  What's the difference between the B'rel and the K'vort?

I can answer this. Spoke to lint myself regarding the same thing.

K'vort: bigger, stronger, meaner, FIXED wings.

B'rel: smaller, weaker, older, moving wings.

That's pretty much the difference as I understand it.

Ahhh, thanks Aeries.  I think I'd prefer the B'rel myself....good thing that when I finally get around to downloading KM it has Ftech so I can enjoy the moving wings.
