I still think you need to add all the missing nav lights... they are on the 4 foot model blueprints I have...
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

I wanted to post this picture.  It's well lit and really shows that the escape pods are not that different of a colour from the hull.  In fact they're kind of camouflaged and hard to spot.  Actually, upon staring at this picture, I think my shuttle bay doors are too dark.

I've been working on this all morning.  It had kind of fallen by the wayside, but I really wanted to bring it back, and also some people have expressed interest in seeing it released.  Therefor, I give you the USS Pegasus (commissioned 2368, refit 2397, re-commisioned 2399.  I decided to name it in tribute to the Pegasus from Battlestar Galactica.  That ship's registry was BS 62, hence this ship's registry is NCC-78562.  Actually, hidden on this ship is a Battlestar Pegasus emblem. :D

Anyway, major changes include...

-lengthened nacelles with sleeker bussard collectors and new warp field emitters.
-Century style deflector
-Century style escape pods
-altered main impulse engine with full time saucer impulse.
-enlarged shuttlebay 2.
-deeper main shuttlebay.
-installed Century style phaser arrays (color change)
-registry changes with lights added to main regs and pylon regs
-overall hull color change to reflect improved construction materials and armor

What do you guys think?

Do you even have to ask that? Your ships are *ALWAYS* awesome.

Anyways, yeah, that's an awesome ship there.

I hope you are using SDT where possible?
Though I suppose it are the textures that take the most space. :(
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

it's a totally different texture set, so no SDT.  As far as changing the aztec goes, not gonna do it, that's the biggest part of the textures and it takes a long time.  May as well redo the textures from scratch. lol

I think he means with all of the standard galaxy regs. I hope you'll be using SDT for those. My PC already starts to cry with just one DJ Galaxy.

ah.  actually, the mod isn't cut up properly to use SDT because I only decided to release two ships in the mod.  That and I didn't want to have everything on 5 textures instead of 4 for when it came time to get the ship rolling for Excalibur.

Ultimately, people can decide if they want to download it, despite the extra size.

kirk2164--> put the textures from the 'medium' texture folder into the 'high' folder.  The visual quality will still be good but your performance will go way up.

Oh, I'm very pleased to see you've come back to this project; I was always interested to see her develop a bit more. She's a real beauty, DJ... a certain compliment to the Galaxy's 'royal' lineage. I'm also very pleased to see that you're paying tribute to one of my favorite ships, the Pegasus. Awesome that you've placed her emblem in there, too.

I only have one note on this ship... do you think the registry should include an "A" suffix? Since there was the oberth-class USS Pegasus... not sure it matters, though, since the registry number is different, isn't it? eh, up to you... not sure it would matter THAT much in the end. :) Just a thought.

She's gorgeous, DJ. Excellent work.

to be honest, I doubt that the Pegasus was a ship of sufficient consequence to warrant an 'A' designation.

Exactly, really very few ships get an 'A' designation.  In fact, despite the various mods out there, the Enterprise is currently the only canon one. :P

Looks gorgeous DJ, can't wait!
