Maya - Export to 3Ds?
« on: July 08, 2008, 07:22:52 PM »
I have 3DS Max, and it's great. However, I find it a lot easier to model in Maya, and I'm thinking of buying the full version. I have done some searches online, yet haven't found a straight enough answer. I therefore ask anybody who knows: is it possible to convert Maya files to 3ds Format? I hope to do so in the hope that one day i'll come up with some really nice ships for this kick@ss game! :P

I think the full version of maya can export to 3ds. I got the free PLE (Personal Learning Edition), which can't export to 3ds. But I prefer to work in max...and max is cheaper than maya (at least the student version)!
