Gunstar-1?
« on: July 08, 2008, 09:51:08 PM »
Has anyone attempted or at least been tempted to make the Gunstar from The Last Starfighter for BC?  It may be a fighter type ship, but luckily the Gunstar is around the size of the Sovereign's captain's yacht, and I think it would look awesome in BC.  One pic here: http://www.meshweaver.com/frames/Portfolio/images/gstar/readyblossom.jpg

The Meshweaver site has more views of the Gunstar, including full orthographic views.

I think someone at dynaverse may have made a model of this. I would ask:

You'll need to be registered and logged in for that link to take you to the right spot though.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D

Hmmm...I'm seeing a model (LSF Gunstar as a matter of fact), but the last update was in 06.  And of course, it's for SC3...

ok, maybe you can find out if it's finished and if you can port it?

Hmm...a possibility, if I knew how to port from SC3...is it difficult and what programs would I need?

You should only need Milkshape to convert it to NIF, you can find the importer/exporter tools on the same site: http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/ It is shareware, though, so make sure you get it all done in 30 days unless you plan on buying. ;)
