Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

This ship, to me, shows very clearly why the neck and saucer method of ship building is flawed. The saucer looks like it could snap right off the neck. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice ship and fits its era nicely.

OK, suggestions:
1)Widen the neck as you go towards the back
2)Rotate the deflector a little downwards (since you got with the Ambie-like deflector)
3)Redo the nacelles starting out from a capsule, use FFD2x2x2 (Modifiers>Free Form Deformers) modifiers for the curved parts, and extrude the top half of it to get an excelsior-like nacelle shape (if you want to have the same type of plasma grids, use a bevel tool for it on the polys you got with the extrusion above). make these new nacelles less wider (about 60% of the width you have now). Also, make the fins less wide than you have now (for these and pretty much all things I use one decks height - 3.5m's - as a basis for comparison, so my fins are generally 2-2.5m's wide)
4)Look at the Ambassador and my Novi Sad class for clews on the shuttle bay area (I'm talking about the nacelle struts meeting the sec hull)

Alot of Ships have thin necks, though that's the TOS Era, you need a slightly more half egg shaped neck to meet the TMP Excelsior era style of necks. Though I have a question, are you moving away from the Standard Excelsior design?

Well i remade it and i more like how it tuned out this time =] i tried to make it raelly look like a cross between Excelsior and Ambassador... thngs i changed mostly are the shape of the saucer and impulse engines, made them more original Excel impulse engines caue u never see the refit engines after Generations anymore, also i made the flight deck/nacelle struts more ambassador like and made the defelctor face down, also the nacelles are somewhat in between Ambassador and Excelsior..showing a somewhat progress...

The nacelles seem a little oversized for the rest of the ship, but on the whole, it shaping up well :)

Yeah, I quite like the shape, they just seem unproportionately big.

you could have kept the engiens as cargo/shuttle bays like they sometimes are seen as on excelcior variants. Defenetly paint her up like the amby. And what is that goofy attachment over the 2 impulse engines? A 3rd engine? Looks worse than what you had to begin with. Addtionaly, the engines on the gold model are far to large/fat. The Oroginal ones looked right, although a bit too large still and your fins were a good idea but need to be narrower. You removed some of the best parts in the second version. Keep the fins, make'em thinner, and decrease the diameter of the nacelles a tad from the first version. Otherwise this looks less like a mid era and more like an amby ripoff.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D
