Complete retexture of the Enterprise B Bridge by Dr McCoy 1701A. Our first completed bridge retexture.

If you guys want to include any of my stuff as a "catch all" bridge just let me know.

The Oberth bridge is also fine to use, although it uses Pegasus a fair bit. I'll see if I can do a little work on the TNG bridge since I am not quite as happy with it now. If you would prefer to use V1, go right ahead. I'll probably have V2 worked out (slightly less dark) before you finish.

Right, the warbird Dalek retextured can't be included. Legacy (the creator of the model) forbidden it.

Perhaps, but I'd rather use an existing model if it's of decent quality just so we don't spend all our time on one model.

Word to the wise.  Always ask before doing the work.  Remember, that in the grand scheme of things, you guys are still pretty new to the community.  One of the established norms that has wrongfully gone away is that people will show off modifications they've done to other people's work before securing permission from the original author.

LC is oldschool.  If Rick Knox is the Great Granddaddy of BC Modding, the LC is certainly the Granddaddy.  I'm pleased to see that you guys are respecting his wished.

Unfortunatly, that means that none of LC's models can be used in KM-R since they'd have to be rebalanced anyway. And since we can't edit his mods then they'd be out of place in KM-R since they'd be under/over powered.

So that means i'm going to need to scout BC Files for alternatives. We've already got the CGI Voyager, which JLS gave us permission for :D

I feel sorry for Dalek though since this is the 3rd ship he's done that can't be included. (The other 2 for different reasons.)

Remember, ALWAYS ask permission before you start. It stinks to have put that much work in and then have it go to waste.

Hey, look on the bright side. I'm the only one with a fabby Romulan Warbird! I must admit, a new model would be nice...but we live and learn. :D
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

Well, actually, the Intrepid that JB06 retextured is LC's Intrepid model.  So you might want to check with LC about that.  He might be ok with the ship as a stand alone mod, but he may have reservations about a mod pack.

Here's what I don't understand...what reason does LC and other modders who are forbidding their work being used have for doing so? You guys aren't selling this mod, you aren't making any financial gains. I've already given permission to use my damage textures, and I see no reason not to allow it. I don't know, it just seems really petty to forbid the use of something like this but maybe I'm missing something.

From what I understand, they were told they're free to include his models, just not modify them.

I could imagine it has something to do with people using other peoples stuff, without asking first. Just a thought.

Thats pretty much it because they are his models, work he has done, modders like to be contacted first so they know who is using their models (its just good manners to ask for permission first), sadly there was allot of mod theft a few months back... plus if a model is used in a mod pack and is modified its more likely to get removed from that pack and used somewhere else.... Its not the majority's fault but this is what happens in life sometimes the minority spoils it for the majority.
