MSC Pegasus Project
« on: December 31, 2008, 02:22:09 PM »
Okay, so with the Gundam model on hold for now, figured I'd get this sorted. She isn't textured however. But also not complete modelwise...

A few may remember it.

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

GUNDAAAAM!  :arms:

But uh, all she needs doing now is a small addition of polys to the rear section (It currently doesn't smooth like it should be). Standing at just under 9k polys. After that, I'll be throwing the model onto BCF so anyone who wants to have a go at texturing it can.

There will be, the sides of the dome fold out to reveal two cannons.

He wasn't trolling, he was showing an interest, asking a reasonable question, and the only answer he got was a link to a picture of a robot. That could be anything, you have to admit.

I too know very little of Gundam (I know it's Manga or Anime, or both, that it involved piloted giant fighting robots, but little else), but this looks interesting. Thanks for the link to Wiki.

Klingon Academy now works on XP/Vista/Win 7 thanks to one dude's patches, click here for details. I highly recommend it!

The thing is, it's almost exactly what he said in the original thread. Anyway, it'll have a few weapons, unsure how I'll go about that (MVAM/FTech). Probably will just leave it in weapons mode.

Apologies, I should have been more helpful.

PRIME:

Here's some awesome pictures I found.  May be good as references on the RX-78 model.

Thanks mate, but I've already got most of the body modelling of the 78-1 down. With my own GM/78 combo head unit. The Pegasus was initially going to come with that handy, but I've put it on hold as I'm currently learning new things at a rate of knots (And waiting on Maya 2008). I also have a few technical manuals that have blueprint-esque imagery of the GP-01, so...

...I'd still have killed to have seen that to-scale Gundam, though. And stand ontop of it victoriously shouting "HAIL ZEON!"

There's a pretty cheesy video I made for the promo a long while ago...
Yeah, coming soon my- Er... But the Pegasus is pretty much ready for texturing and all. So after I do the Type-8 & 9 shuttles, and the Camelot, and maybe the TOS stuff, I'll get back onto it.

Honestly, for something like this I think using MVAM or FTech is kinda gimmicky, so I agree with just leaving the weapons out.

Hey, gimmicky is what the Wii is all about, and look how well that did.

The way I see it, either it can have it now, or later, when it actually launches stuff.

Model is complete. More than likely going to be released as-is for anyone who wants to mess with it.

Well, if you want it harpointed, I can do it. It's just some pink beams and a bunch of pulses for the point-defense turrets.
