The TOS Gorn has already been well established and redone several times so these ships are intended to be balanced for post-Nemesis as a Gorn "Resurgence". I think we need a new but familiar enemy that is formidable due to the Klingons members of the Federation for some time now, the Dominion?s but being kicked, the Romulans opening diplomatic relations after the events of Nemesis, the Cardassians basically a bunch of wimps and the Borg licking their wounds. However, opinions are welcome.
[offtopic]You know, you could use the Fen Domar mentioned in Endgame. Not even the Borg killed any of Voyager's bridge crew and not that many crewmen. For example, if Voyager did continue on its course rather than take the transwarp tunnel, they would have met the Fen Domar in battle. Voyager obviously survived if Janeway got back to Earth, so they must have won. Well, here's the timeline I envisioned.
If Janeway didn't go back in time-
-Voyager runs into the Fen Domar. They deal a crippling blow, but lose some crew in the process.
-Because Voyager did this, the Fen Domar are set back significantly (possibly a planetary battle in which the leader of the Fen Domar government is killed, or releasing slaves almost solely supporting the economy.)
-Voyager makes it home, and the Fen Domar are unable to trace them back to Earth because they have their own problems to deal with.
Because Janeway intervened-
-The Fen Domar prosper without the encounter with Voyager.
-They spread like a plague.
-They reach the Federation and wreak havoc.
So now you have an excuse to make a new enemy for the Federation.[/offtopic]
Can't wait to see what you do with the Gorn, fellas!
