Hardpoint issues
« on: April 07, 2009, 05:28:32 PM »
Every hardpoint I make from scratch crashes my BC when I try to load it in BC. Heres the hardpoint I'm making right now. Am I going wrong somewhere?

Edit: This is probably in the wrong place, but it always crashes my BC. Feel free to move this thread.

I'm going to redirect you to the BC Modding forum for this question.
It does seem ok.

Also, what exactly do you mean with "crash"? Back to desktop (sudden exit of BC) or simply a black screen?
If it's the latter, please provide a console report so that we can help you further.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

I go to QuickBattle. I select the ship I want (e.g. this ship) and it's about to load the selected map and BC goes black and the "Would you like to send an Error Report" message pops up.

No error there I'm afraid.

I take it you are testing this against asteroids (or other simple stuff, such as relays)?

Nope. It crashes before I load the map in QuickBattle. So its like "loading, loading, loading, CRASH".

You can't have the Bridge and Hull both set as primary as they are both considered 'Hull' systems.

There were several errors in your hardpoint.
First the blue and red vectors were identical in the ViewscreenRight properties. Second you had impulse engine system and impulse engines mixed up. Third the repair system was missing.

Firing "cookie" torpedoes? That's a new term for me.

Mostlikely the core graphics doesn't have an alpha layer.

I think it's safe to say this thread is now finished. If only I had a lock button...

no need - the thread can eventually fade down the page...
