SNS Galaxy Class - Update 1st May
« on: April 24, 2009, 11:51:12 AM »
Just one thing i worked on last week when i was bored. Completely new textures for the SNS Galaxy. Still waiting for permission off scotchy, but i'd thought I show you all anyways ;) It's a bit of a hybrid in terms of season wise & the look of the textures, but all in all, it doesn't look too bad :P

Anyways opinions welcomed :D

thanks

in the future - please establish full permissions before making a new thread...
if he denies permission (which i doubt he will do) then this thread is pointless...

thx :)

simply fantastic work...I doubt that Scotchy will deny permission..I got permission to port the Galaxy over to Armada...so a simple retexture should be approved of LOL

WOW that is one mighty fine reskin. It almost looks bumpmapped. Some very clever specular usage here.

It almost looks bumpmapped.

Thats because the textures themselves have been bumpmapped. Unfortunately, BC cannot support model bump maps. :(

I'm still not quite convinced by the colour of the deflector. The blue seems to washed out and the actual deflector array looks a bit dark.

But seeing the back end of that Galaxy gets me excited big time. :)

Hm well, I think the biggest change is the windows. not that blue anymore. the aztec pattern stands out much better and is now darker gray. nice.

Gorgeous, the hull is lovely. I think the bussards and the deflector need a little work, but aside from that, she's a real looker!

imo the bussards are a little too red, apart from that, nice work!

Edit:

Just noticed that the escape pods are grey aswell. might want to fix that.
