Definitely a great design for an Enterprise refit, but I'd keep the nacelle pylons curved. TOS Enterprise to Enterprise-A was straight to straight so why wouldn't the JJ-prise to JJ-prise-Refit be curved to curved? Good point, it'll depend on how it looks either way.

Also, two new ship designs. The Excelsior looking one is horribly out of proportion, but that's going to change.
The other is an Akira - Excelsior looking thing, with modules in mind. The four module types are -
-sensors
-engines
-weapons
and -shields

Alright, more progress on the ingame model. Sits at 8k polies. Also here is a colored and stretched version of the sketch posted earlier, showing where I'm going with it.

Looks nice! The secondary hull looks a bit thin compared to the neck and saucer...

That's because I haven't put on the details yet. There still is external plating and the deflector side thingies to put on.

Hmm... I think I'm going to scrap this model. Too many mesh errors, too hard to fix. I need to find a good tutorial for the nacelles too.
