Nicholsons WIPs
« on: May 27, 2009, 01:41:04 PM »
Now I haven't posted here in a very very long time, infact I doubt many people would remember me . . . .  anyway after watching the new Star Trek film I decided to give moding another shot. So while everybody is busy doing TMP and XI Connies here is a start on my take of the grandaddy.

This is very early work so let me know what you think and if I should continue.

*adds Nicholson to the TOS ships making list*

Lol, even with the new film, we haven't forgotten its origins. I'm liking that Connie!
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

Re: Nicholsons WIPs - Pathfinders

So . . . . . . .

I didn't want to model anything that was currently being developed by somoone else, given at the time I was modeling the Connie 2 more appeared I have decided to drop this and replace it with another project.

I had a thought about all the different phases of design for any product, machine, car etc and realised nothing really exisited for the trek ships. Yes I know NX ships are the prototypes, but what about before that?

Pathfinders - testbeds for new designs and technologies. Ships built in the very early stages of the design of a new class of ship.

The first of which is the Daedalus Class pathfinder.

Very early WIP wanted to get some feedback and ideas before I progress.

Enjoy . . . . .

very cool, I like it. I'm not fond of the jaggedness of some components though... smooth out some of the edges [comparing this to the connie you had going, btw] and you'll be golden. Loving it so far dude, can't wait to see more. :]

His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me."

did u lose that connie and deadalus? Defenetly redo the deadalus, but may I suggest you hit the carts over at asdbj and do maybe a full set of Dy's or something? lol, If you want stuff nobody else is doing..well..I got piles of it. I've been begging people for the stuff for ages, and I know they'll be hits all of'em..but they'd all rather make more connies. If you wanna show'em up, you know where to find me.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D
