Busted Breen.
« on: September 26, 2009, 04:37:58 PM »
I've tried several times to repair this ship, but I've still got a nasty energy leak somewhere.  can someone point me to where I've screwed up?  this is my first truly scratch hardpoint, and i don't want to make a mistake again.

thanks in advance.

Console report, better description of problem? Is there an issue with the warp core/ battery energy levels?

yes, it's the same kind of Energy drain as I saw with two OS ships I downloaded, Sacrement and Dixieland (by the same author)  I've bumped the Warp Core's power up, but it's still sucking it dry.  when the Sensor panel blinks, there's an energy drain somewhere.

also, I think I have my repair teams and their restore points set too ambitiously high.  the crew will repair things so fast, it'd make the Borg's heads swim, and their processors overheat.  other times, I'll get a familliar looking glitch, where the ship's HP disappear, but it's a no kill.  I've seen similar things happen with fighting game lifebars and a badly designed cheat code.

i seem to be having trouble after installing the SNS galaxies, as well.  I have to turn the registry mutator off in order to not have a game that skips like a broken record or a scratched CD

I would lower the "SetNormalPowerPerSecond" Value of the Weapons and Cloak and make "SetMainConduitCapacity" and "BackupConduitCapacity" of the WarpCore twice at large. (Remember, the higher the WarpCores output and BatterieStorage the bigger, Deadlier the NanoFX explosions).
I think that should balance it ( If that was the Question)

Ha ha. Yeah, I didn't really understood the power system when I hardpointed those ships, so power balance is probably screwed (not enough power generated, conduits draining too much, something like that). I should do something about it, now that I know some people downloaded them :P

Krrks: damn.  I allready double the warp core power twice ,and upped the conduit capacity.  I was keeping an eye on the stats of the only completed breen ship to get some general ideas.  I think that the Nif for this ship is going to need rescaled, though

NeoKaede: relax, the only thing Dixie and Sacrement needed was a core power bump.  I collect the more unusual configurations.  there was nothing else wrong with the hardpoint.  the only HP on OS that I feel obliged to add to seem to be Connies and Daeds, neither of which have their butts covered.

hmm.  hey neokaede...i just got an idea for those two, a little billy Yank/Johnny Reb fun, tribute ships to the US civil War (and mabey othe civil wars)

Your star/port impulse engines are actually impulse engine systems. Every ship can only have one. The actual engines are simply called "Engine" in the template list with the type being determined by a dropdown menu.

The same applies to warp.

AARGH!  thanks teleguy.  I did goof that up.  Worf359 has showed back up again (the second I posted this last night, it turns out), so thanks to everybdy for pointing out my stupidity.
