EVE Online Ships
« on: September 27, 2009, 01:36:00 PM »
I've noticed no ones ever made anything based off of the famous Space MMO EVE Online. Although not everyone would recognise it, I would find it an interesting addition to all the other-sci-fi's being put into BC. As a personal opinion, I think it would be fun to watch a fleet of Federation ships pound on an Amarr Empire Avatar Titan :P

Great, so when are you gonna start building them?

Minmatar ships> the rest. they might look like flying, fragile trash heaps, but boy, do they serve a surprise for the pirates.. :evil

Although I would also really like to see this done, I have a few large problems here. The biggest of which is the wide customisability of such ships, so most likely, no ship ever made would match my Myrmidon. Actually come to think of it, all the other problems CAN be worked around I think... (Turrets, drones, armour, although I don't think armour repping would be possible).

There are also other issues such as engine flares etcetera.

As I said, I'd love to see this; and a lot of issues I had once thought of have been worked around. Even Jump Gates!

this crossed my mind several times, unfortunantly my only solution came out to being examine each ship, and their primary function, especially if it was a missle-boat or an average battleship, and make the proper weapons for them. For sheilds and armour, I thought that could be easily solved through each races primary deffences being slightly boosted. such as heavier sheilds, or adding the "albrasive" armour hard-points. Drones=Shuttles (no brainer :P)

Honestly, I am not a fan of EVE online ships. There are a few here and there that get me, but nothing really jumps out and says "PLAY ME!" They designed them to look exotic and different, not designed them to be a spaceship that just happened to look different.
